Investigation Outcome Notification

DATED: - 13th July 2025

We refer to the investigation into your IELTS test result of 9/10th July 2025.

Strict quality control procedures are in place to protect the integrity and security of the IELTS
test. As a result of these procedures, the test results of 9/10th July 2025 came under scrutiny and has
been investigated. The investigation has determined that there is reasonable evidence to show that the
result is not a reliable indicator of your English language ability. In the interests of fairness to all test
takers and the integrity of the test, the IELTS Test Partners withhold any results in which we do not
have confidence.

IELTS test takers are required to agree to the following terms and conditions at the time of
registration:

• I understand that IELTS takes strict measures to prevent and detect malpractice. The IELTS
Test Partners have responsibility to all test takers and Recognizing Organizations to maintain
the highest confidence in IELTS test results. The IELTS Test Partners may thereforebe
required to withhold test results temporarily or permanently, or to cancel test results already
issued, if they consider those results to be unreliable for any reason.
• I understand that if I am suspected of any kind of malpractice (“cheating”) or do anything that
might damage the integrity and security of IELTS, then the IELTS partners reserve the right
to...
o cancel or not issue my test results.
o issue an international ban that will prevent me from taking the IELTS test in the
future, whether IELTS Online or IELTS on Paper or IELTS on Computer.
o refer the case to a local law enforcement agency and other relevant regulatory
authorities.
o provide the details of my malpractice activity to educational institutions and border
agencies.
• I understand that in such cases, I will not be eligible for a test fee refund.

The following actions will be taken:

• The result will not be released, and a Test Report Form (TRF) will not be issued.
• A report has been made to the IELTS Test Partners and any nominated Recognizing
Organizations.
