Introduccion ingles

Throughout history, humanity has developed tools to expand its capabilities, but few have aroused
as much astonishment, debate and expectation as in the case of artificial intelligence (AI), a
technology that has ceased to belong to science fiction to become a real tool with an increasingly
tangible impact on daily lifand entertainment. However, this rapid progress is not without its
questions. On the one hand, it opens up opportunities to optimize processes, solve complex
problems, and transform the way people live and work. But on the other, it poses risks ranging
from job losses to ethical dilemmas related to privacy, control, and autonomy.e, with applications
ranging from medicine and education to security. In this dynamic and changing scenario, the
future of this technology appears to be both a promise and a challenge—both ethical, social, and
political. The opportunities it offers are diverse and exciting: improvements in health through
more precise diagnostic algorithms, personalized educational tools, smart devices that make daily
life easier, and solutions to complex problems through the analysis of large volumes of data.
However, risks also emerge that cannot be ignored, such as the possibility of massively automating
jobs, algorithmic biases that perpetuate inequalities, the use of personal data without privacy
guarantees, and even the threat that it could act outside of human control—situations that fuel
growing concern about where this technology is headed. Therefore, its opportunities and risks
must be analyzed from a critical and balanced perspective, exploring its potential benefits and
dangers. Beyond the enthusiasm or fear it often generates, a thorough understanding of its
implications is a fundamental step toward making responsible decisions in the present and
building a future where technology truly serves humanity.
