SHORTCUTS

Right click on sequence gives access to effects/etc.

Right click on composition takes to comp settings
Use the search bar to pull up scale/opacity/etc
Right click > transform > center in view
Edit > copy with relative property links = copies effects from one comp to others;
if update main, changes others
on timeline, right click layer > transform > fit to comp
comp panel > pixel aspect ratio correction
click on "position", alt + mouse click = scales all of them together
right click on keyframe > keyframe interpolation
rove across time = evenly timed animation
option + stopwatch = loopOut("cycle")
split layer allows you to make changes from split
motion sketch, smoother, wiggler = easy way to animate something without doing all
the keyframes
wiggler needs at least 2 keyframes selected
option + click drag = replaces footage in timeline
motion sketch - live sketch an animation
transform > auto orient = conforms it to the path
shift scrub = moves things in increments of 10
command scrub = moves in tenth increments
panel for paragraph / character - reset
optical kerning spaces letters out so they're all legible
anything can be saved as an animation preset - keyframes, etc.
curved lines - RotoBezier; if don't click it then straight lines
option click on a joint, then toggles between straight and curved lines
text>path options>use pen and then set path to mask 1
animate > all transform properties
range selector is a way to animate a group with just 2 keyframes
- animate > position, offset > range selector start =0, later = 100, then go to add
button to add more effects
can also enable in 3D
Animation > Browse presets (TONS of different presets)
In shape, right click, convert to bezier path
**create shape above movie > trackmat > cutout of movie
double click shape and it creates one the whole comp
save presets = animation>save animation preset
File > dependencies > collect files = project manager equivalent
keylight = green screens
create a null (new layer) and then set that as a parent
precompose - takes something and makes a nested composition
right click > create > create shapes from text (or shapes)
great graphs with shape > repeater > scrub position (transform) up/down
layer window, best way to work with a mask
with pen tool, hit command key and it deselects
corner pin helps adjust masks - perspective effect

Green screen
- Keylight effect
- screen color = green/bkrnd
- combined matte = greyscale to refine
- screen matte = scrub black and white to remove grays
- despill bias = use eyedropper to pick where light is hitting
- foreground color correction - to match the new background
OR
- effect>color correction>lumetri color
- refine hard matte (feather+contrast) = get better edges
---> can save as a preset
Puppet - allows to move joints, etc.
- command and click on yellow joint, can animate in realtime
- if doing type, start with ending pose, then go to beginning and start motion
sketch

can pull in multiple sequences and put them into one composition and overlay
-add adjustment layer and tweak that so it corrects all the footage
-need to make a dummy effect (levels) and then can overlay mode

METL: Mask, effects, transformations, layer styles = render order

; = goes to frame view
\ = jumps between comp window and timeline
J K = navigate visible keyframes
command + option + K = keyframe interpolation
command + D = duplicate
command + T = text
alt/option + p = adds keyframe where time indicator is at
u = anything that's been keyframed
command alt a = selects all visible keyframes
command option f = fits to comp.
e = effects to show up
m = mask shows up
