Project Title : Preventing and Controlling Cholera in Communities
Stage 1
Statement of problem
Langham Girls is experiencing a noticeable rise in cholera cases ,particularly
among children and adults . Cholera is a life_ threatening disease caused by
contaminated water and food , leading to severe diarrhea and dehydration .
It predominantly affects populations in areas with poor sanitation , lack of
clean drinking water and inadequate healthcare access . Regions with
frequent outbreaks such as parts of Mashonaland Central suffer high
morbidity and mortality rates due to limited resources for prevention and
treatment.
Statement of Intent
The intent of this project is to investigate the causes behind the increase in
cholera cases within the Langham Girls Community , raise awareness about
their effects and propose realistic solutions for cholera preventions by
improving sanitation , promoting hygiene education and ensuring access to
clean water . Implementing sustainable measures will help reduce outbreaks
and project vulnerable communities.
