COVER LETTER

Greetings,
I am writing to express my strong interest in the Legal Research Internship at National
Law University, Delhi. As a second-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) student at the University of
Lucknow with an academic focus on research, writing, and policy, I am extremely
driven to contribute to the impactful work undertaken at NLU, Delhi.

Through my internships at the Hon’ble Allahabad High Court, Juris Centre, and AGISS
Research Institute, I have developed a strong command of legal research, case
analysis, and scholarly writing. I have handled tasks such as drafting case briefs,
analyzing court proceedings, and authoring published articles on issues including
human rights, copyright and patent rights, and trademark disputes. I also possess a
certification in legal research tools like SCC Online, which further attests to my
research capabilities.

The reason why I should be selected as a candidate is not only my foundation in

doctrinal research but also my desire to engage with law as a vital instrument of
change. Alongside, I am pursuing a distance degree in public administration that
further equips me with a multidisciplinary approach and helps me become more
knowledgeable about policies. This would help me contribute better in the internship.
The opportunity to contribute under the guidance of your esteemed faculty would be
a significant step in my professional journey.

Thank you for considering my application. I am open to contributing in both physical

and on-site work environments and can truly dedicate 2–6 months with complete
commitment. I sincerely hope to be a part of NLU Delhi’s exceptional work.

Best regards,
Shreya Srivastava
