Notes:
This pattern is worked from the bottom up in separate panels.
The Ch 1 at the beginning of the rows does not count as a St.
The numbers in parenthesis at the start of the row are the row counts for all
sizes. The numbers in parenthesis at the end of the rows are the stitch counts for
all sizes. The numbers in parenthesis within each row are the instructions for all
sizes.

Place your panel in front of you, RS up with the finished shoulder on the right
hand side. Count 31(33, 36, 39, 42, 45, 48, 50, 53) Sts in from the left towards
the center of the panel and join yarn with a Sl St. There will be 2 Sts in the

Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing the last row to the back panel.
Sleeves (make 2):
Row 1: 12 Fsc, turn. (12 Sc) Note- alternatively you can Ch 13, work 1 Sc into the
second Ch from the hook and across for 12 Sc.
Rows 2-24(26, 26, 28, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32): Ch 1, 1 Sc (BLO) in each St across,
turn.
Do not turn after the last row. You will now be working Row 1 of the main body of
the sleeve panel into the ends of the ribbing rows.
Row 1: 2 Hdc into the end of each row across, turn. (48(52, 52, 56, 56, 58, 60, 62,
64) Hdc)
Note- your ribbing will look wavy and crazy at this point. Don’t worry, that’s
normal! Your sleeve will start to straighten out as you go.
Rows 2-39(39, 39, 39, 39, 38, 38, 37, 37): Ch 1, 1 Hdc in each St across, turn.
Note- This is an oversized drop-sleeve style hoodie. The wider the front/back
panels are, the shorter the sleeve needs to be because they join further down your
bicep. That’s why the smaller sizes have more rows than the larger. You an easily
adjust your sleeve length by adding or taking away as many rows as desired before
fastening off.
Fasten off, leave a long tail to seam last row to your front/back panel.
Pocket:
Row 1: 42(42, 42, 44, 44, 44, 46, 46, 46) Fhdc, turn. (42(42, 42, 44, 44, 44, 46,
46, 46) Hdc) Note- alternatively you can Ch 43(43, 43, 45, 45, 45, 47, 47, 47),
work 1 Hdc in second Ch from the hook and across for 42(42, 42, 44, 44, 44, 46, 46,
46) Hdc.
Rows 2-9(9, 9, 10, 10, 10, 11, 11, 11): Ch 1, 1 Hdc in each St across, turn.
Row 10(10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 12, 12, 12): Ch 1, 1 Hdc, Hdc2tog, 1 Hdc in each across
until 3 remain, Hdc2tog, 1 Hdc in last, turn. (40(40, 40, 42, 42, 42, 44, 44, 44)
Hdc)
Row 11(11, 11, 12, 12, 12, 13, 13, 13): Ch 1, 1 Hdc in each St across, turn.
Rows 12(12, 12, 13, 13, 13, 14, 14, 14)-19(19, 19, 20, 20, 20, 21, 21, 21): Repeat
Row 10(10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 12, 12, 12). Your St count will decrease by 2 with each
row.
Row 20(20, 20, 21, 21, 21, 22, 22, 22): Ch 1, 1 Hdc in each St across. (24(24, 24,
26, 26, 26, 28, 28, 28) Hdc)
Fasten off, leave a tail long enough to sew the last row to the front of the
hoodie.
Joining Panels:
Block your panels to the measurements listed above if necessary. Place your back
and front panel together, RS facing. Use the tail of yarn and your seaming method
of choice to join the last row of the shoulder to the back panel. I like to use my
crochet hook and Sl St to join. You can also use a needle and your preferred sewing
stitch. Repeat on other shoulder.
Next, place your front and back panel (now joined) RS facing down. Line up the last
row of your first sleeve so that the shoulder seam joining the front/back panels is
directly in the center. I recommend placing a SM in the middle and both ends of the
sleeve to hold its place. Make sure you have the same amount of Sts on both sides
of the shoulder seam. Sl St with the tail of yarn to join or use your preferred
joining method. Repeat on other side.
Finally, fold your hoodie together, RS facing. Use your preferred joining method to
sew from sleeve cuff to underarm. Continue down from underarm to bottom hem. Repeat
on other side.
