2 a 𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵 indicates the amount of decomposable organic matter or extent
of pollution or amount of dissolved oxygen in the sewage. Explain in
detail the experimental procedure involved in the determination of
𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵 of waste water sample. 05
b Explain the construction and working of amorphous silicon solar cells
with a neat labeled diagram. 05
c During determination of 𝐶𝐶𝐶𝐶𝐶𝐶, 25𝑐𝑐𝑚𝑚3 of sewage sample is reacted with
25𝑚𝑚𝑚𝑚 of 𝐾𝐾2 𝐶𝐶𝐶𝐶2 𝑂𝑂7 solution and the unreacted 𝐾𝐾2 𝐶𝐶𝐶𝐶2 𝑂𝑂7 requires 8.0𝑐𝑐𝑚𝑚3 of

using Vant Hoff’s equation. 05
b The pH of solution is measured by using glass electrode. Discuss the
construction and working of glass electrode. Why glass electrode is
not preferred measurement in water containing fluoride ion? 05
c Discuss the construction and working of calomel electrode. Give its
