Installation Procedure
NOTICE
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
1. Inspect the condition of the seals and the O-ring seals. Replace the seals and the O-ring seals, if
necessary.

2. Install O-ring seal (18) in the elbow for the aftercooler.
3. Install O-ring seal (19) in the elbow for the turbocharger compressor housing.

4. Install seal (16) in the exhaust bellows.
5. Install seal (17) in the exhaust elbow.

6. Attach a suitable lifting device on turbocharger (15). Put the turbocharger in position. Put 4C-
5597 Anti-Seize Compound on the bolt threads. Install four bolts (14). Tighten the bolts to a
torque of 215 ± 40 N·m (159 ± 30 lb ft).

7. Put 4C-5597 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of bolt (13). Install bolts (13). Tighten the
bolts to a torque of 45 ± 10 N·m (33 ± 7 lb ft).

8. Install four bolts (11) that fasten elbow (12) to the turbocharger compressor housing.

9. Install four bolts (10).
10. Install tube (8) and tube (9).

11. Install nut (7) on the fitting from the turbocharger.

12. Put tube (6) in position.
13. Put the gasket for elbow (4) in position. Put 4C-5597 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of
bolt (5). Install bolts (5). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft).

14. Put turbocharger supply line (2) in position and install two nuts (1). Put the clip in position and
install bolt (3).
