1. Describe a picture / photograph of you that you like.
You should say
- where the photo was taken
- what you were doing when it was taken
- who took it
and explain why you like the photo.
Sample answer:
When it comes to my favorite photo, the first photo that comes to
my mind is a photo of me and my 5 closest friends at a beach in Da Nang.
I still remember vividly that that picture was taken about a couple
of months ago, when my friends and I had a field trip to the Central
region. The natural scenery in this coastal city is extremely beautiful, so
my friends and I didn't forget to take a series of photos. When we arrived
at the beach, the sun was about to set, which was the perfect time to get
some gorgeous photos. So we decided to take some photos with that
sunset to capture the beautiful moment. In the photo, six of us — dressed
in the same outfit — are standing with our backs to the camera and
looking in the direction of the setting sun. When the sun's tiny sunlight
falls on the surface of the sea, it creates a very beautiful effect and I asked
a girl sitting next to take a picture of this beautiful moment for us.
There are many reasons why I like that photo. First, it marked the
first time we traveled together as a group and it made our relationship
very good. Moreover, the setting sunlight gives off a beautiful golden
glow, which relaxes me and gives me a sense of healing.

2. Describe an unusual meal you once had. You should say:

And explain why it was unusual.
Sample answer:
Today, I would like to tell you about an unusual meal that I think I
will never forget. It was a dinner party that I threw with my classmates
when we finished our final exams in 12th grade.
In fact, we threw a few types of school parties, or held small
parties. And of all those parties, the most impressive and unforgettable
was the one we had when we all completed our most important exam: the
national high school exam. And it was also the last party we had as
students in high school. So that meal was very special to me.
Unlike a regular dinner we had before, it didn't take place at a
restaurant but in our classroom where we used to study together. The
classroom is where we learn from teachers, bury our faces in books and
have many activities together. This place has a deep meaning for us, so
we decided to have a party there. We were free to wear makeup, wear the
dresses we wanted, say things we had never said to each other.
Another reason why this meal is special for us is that we prepared
this feast ourselves, from going to the market to buying ingredients,
cooking, and decorating the classroom. Since we had just relieved all the
stress, this party was just for fun. Besides enjoying our favorite food, we
spent some quality time together during the meal. It created a precious
memory in my high school.

3. Describe som eone (a famous person) that is a role model for young
people. You should say:

Sample answer:
When it comes to a famous person that I admire the most, the first
name that comes to my mind is Cristiano Ronaldo - A famous footballer
and he was once rumored to be "from a boy sweeping garbage to
sweeping the skies of Europe". Ronaldo is a Portuguese professional
football player who played for the world's most famous football clubs
such as Manchester United and Real Madrid.
I got to know him on 1 occasion when I had the opportunity to
watch football with my uncle. It was a match between Real Madrid and
Manchester United. I pay attention to him because he is the one who
scored 5 goals. Later, when I learned more about him, I admired him even
more because of his constant effort.
His father died when he was a child and his mother had to take on
both motherhood and fatherhood. His family was also very poor, so in
order to pursue his passion, he had to work multiple jobs at once to earn
money.
