Question 1: Types of Numbers [3 marks]

Write down all the types of numbers (e.g. natural, rational, etc.) that apply to:

a) -3

b) 22/7

c) sqrt(2)

Question 2: Prime Factors [3 marks]

a) Write 60 as a product of its prime factors.

b) Use your answer to find the HCF of 60 and 48.

Question 3: BIDMAS / Order of Operations [2 marks]

Simplify: 6 + 3 x (8 - 5)^2 ÷ 3

Question 4: Rounding [3 marks]

a) Round 0.05739 to 2 significant figures.

b) Round 78,496 to the nearest 1000.

c) Estimate the value of 49.8 x 1.9 by rounding each number to 1 significant figure.

- The rest is saved.
