TREES

Standing amidst the tall trees surrounded by darkness


In the middle of a forest that has since years ago remained untraveled
The forest stands still, untouched and unaware of human company
In the depths of the dark trees and bushes remain secrets yet to be
unraveled

Looking around for any signs of anyone


But turning my head with disappointment to find none,
I walk through the path leading further and further
The trees whispering as my ears start hearing whispers and murmurs

I come across a lake, frozen in time and place


As my I start to walk in a slower pace,
Observing and taking in the beauty of it all,
It would be later on a beautiful memory to recall

It seemed all new to me, a different kind of an adventure


There wasn't another place like this, I'm sure
The surge of emotions I felt while exploring this place,
I'm sure I've never felt before.
