Lesson: Giving Personal Information in Interviews

Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to introduce yourself clearly in an academic or job
interview, using structured sentences and confident language.

📝 1. Warm-up Question

 What do you usually say when someone asks, “Tell me about yourself”?
 Do you feel confident sharing your personal information in interviews? Why or why not?

Here are useful sentence starters to structure your answers:

Exercise 1 – Structured Introduction

prepare a 1-minute introduction using the sentence starters above: Include:

Exercise 2 – Interview Role-play

Ask:

4. Pronunciation & Confidence Practice

 Record their introduction and play it back.


 Ask: Did you sound confident and natural?
 Practise pauses and natural tone for clarity.
5. Homework

Record a 1–2 minute personal introduction using today’s sentence starters.


Practice it twice daily until it feels natural.
