1. What wil1 be the power required to crush 150 tonnes per hour of limestone if 80 percent of the feed (3)
passes 50 mm screen and 80 percent of the product a 3•125 mm screen? Work index of limestone = 12•74.
2. A slaked lime manufacturing used a roll crusher to crush the lime stone (Sp. Gravity = 2.66). The crushing (5)
have rolls of 150 cm as a diameter by width 50 cm and the clearance between the roll is 1cm. The roller
run 100 rpm and the angle of nip is 30°. Find out the maximum feed size to the crusher?
Find the theoretical capacity of the crushing roll?

4. State open and closed circuit. (2)
5. What is size reduction and explain the laws of Comminution? (6)
6. What is critical speed and Write the formula of critical speed and define its each term? (2)
