1. This paper consists of section A, B and C with a total of eleven (11) questions.
2. Answer all questions in section A, B and two questions from section C.
3. Section A carries sixteen (16) marks, Section B carries fifty-four (54) marks and section C carries
thirty (30) marks.
4. All writings should be in blue or black pen, except for diagrams that must be drawn in pencil.

11. (a) A black rabbit homozygous for coat colour was crossed with white rabbit of unknown
genotype. The offspring was all black, By means of a diagram and symbols find the genotype
of the parent and offspring.
(b) (i) What is sex – linked character?
(ii) If coat colour in rabbit question 10 (a) is a sex – linked character, what would be the
phenotypes and genotypes of offspring produced from a cross between a black male and a white
