especially in rural and low-income communities. Many girls drop out of school, face
health risks during childbirth, and struggle with financial and emotional challenges.
The issue also places pressure on families and limits the country’s overall
development due to a rise in dependency and poverty cycles.
Statement of Intent:
This project aims to investigate the causes and effects of early teenage pregnancy in
Zimbabwe and explore possible community-based solutions to reduce its prevalence
and impact on young girls and society.
