WHO WAS PAUL KLEE?
A Swiss-German artist
He used colors, lines and shapes in his paintings.
He was also a musician (VIOLIN).
When he was 19, he began to study arts in an Art School
in Munich.
His friend was Kandinsky and he was a member of the
group THE BLUE RIDER.
He was an Art teacher at the Bauhaus school.
He made ABSTRACT paintings (not a representation of
reality).

A Russian artist.
He went to Germany to study Art -
where he met Paul Klee.
He was one of the first ABSTRACT
painters - his paintings do not focus on
a person, place, or object but are a
combination of colors, lines and shapes.
ART: not a depiction of reality => evoke
emotions and ideas, color can express
mood.
