1 Abstract
The Alfahmi Quranic App is a modern educational application designed to facilitate Quranic learning
using the Al Fahmi method—a simplified approach that enables users to comprehend Quranic text
directly in its original Arabic form. This app aims to bridge the language barrier, enhance accessibility
to Quranic understanding, and promote spiritual growth through interactive learning tools. The project
combines advanced technology with an intuitive user interface to offer translation, word-byword
meanings, and real-time learning features.

2 Introduction
The Quran, being central to Islamic faith, is revered and recited worldwide. However, understanding
its original Arabic text remains a challenge for many non-Arabic speakers. The existing educational
methods often lack accessibility, affordability, and interactive features, leaving learners struggling
with traditional resources.
The Al Fahmi method introduces an innovative approach that simplifies Quranic comprehension by
focusing on word meanings and sentence structures. Yet, its implementation through modern
technology remains largely unexplored. This project aims to address this challenge by developing an
interactive Al Fahmi Quranic app that merges traditional learning techniques with modern-day
technology for enhanced user engagement.

3 Problem Statement
According to a study, 85% of Muslims worldwide do not speak Arabic as their first language, leaving
a significant population unable to directly understand the Quran.
The demand for Islamic educational resources is increasing, with the Islamic ed-tech market estimated
to reach $5 billion by 2025.
Current solutions fail to provide interactive, structured methods tailored to the Al Fahmi approach,
leaving an untapped market.

Target Customers:

• Non-Arabic-speaking Muslims (estimated market size: 1 billion users).

• Islamic schools and institutions focusing on Quranic education.
• Independent learners and Islamic education enthusiasts.

4 Related Work

Several Quranic apps and platforms exist, such as:

• Quran.com: Offers Quranic text and translations but lacks interactivity and structured
learning.
• Tajweed Quran Apps: Focus on recitation rules but do not address comprehension.
• Duolingo-style Quranic Apps: Provide basic Arabic learning but fail to bridge comprehension
gaps for Quranic text.

3
5 Project Scope
Goal:
Develop an Alfahmi Quranic App that offers structured learning, including word-by-word translation,
grammar insights, and interactive exercises tailored to the Al Fahmi method.
Proposed Solution:
Intuitive user interface with Quranic text, translations, and grammar breakdowns.
Interactive features like quizzes, real-time progress tracking, and voice-assisted learning.
Integration of AI for personalized learning paths and suggestions.
Cross-platform compatibility (Android, iOS, and web).
Value Proposition:
The app differentiates itself by combining the Al Fahmi method's structured approach with modern
technology, providing a unique blend of education, convenience, and interactivity.

Expected Output:
A fully functional mobile application.
Features like word analysis, Tafseer integration, and progress tracking.
Multilingual support to cater to global users.

6 Project Development Methodology

Technologies and Tools:
Frontend: Kotlin (Development).
Backend: Firebase for authentication and database.
AI/ML: TensorFlow Lite for natural language processing (NLP).
Design Tools: XML for UI/UX design.
Cloud Services: AWS for hosting and scalability.
Development Approach:
Agile methodology with iterative sprints for feature development.
