The four elements of music

The music has four essential elements that compose it. They are:
rhythm, melody, harmony, and timbre. We usually hear the effect
combined with them, that is, the sound mass produced by the sum of these
elements.

Rhythm
It can be described as a coordinated movement, a repetition of
regular or irregular musical intervals, strong or weak, long
or brief elements present in the musical composition. The term rhythm originates

in the Greek word rhytmos, which means any regular movement,

constant, symmetrical.

We understand by this that musical rhythm is an organized pattern of

a sequence of sounds and musical pauses. Therefore, there is organization in the

music and no one plays a song at different speeds and

scattered.

Melody
A melody is a rhythmic succession of tones at different intervals, and
which is governed by rhythm. It can be a soft musical composition for
a voice or choir, or a poem that is sung. Despite this, a
melody does not need to have musical accompaniment, but it usually is
something that is pleasant to the ear. In a figurative sense, the word melody
can be used to express sweetness or gentleness in the way of being or
to speak. Ex: Your voice is the most beautiful melody I have ever heard.

In simple words: A melody is what is sung or what makes.

the instrument or the soloist. A guitar solo is a melody (since the
notes are played in succession) but a guitar chord

Harmony
Musical harmony is the combination of notes in an organized manner,
to generate sounds that balance each other. It is a set of
sons arranged in simultaneous or overlapping order conceiving the
concept of verticality in music, that is, sound over sound.
contrasts with the melody, which is the combination of sounds in successive order.
establishing horizontality, one note after another. The relationship
these overlapping notes create chords with their respective
particularities.
With this, the so-called harmonic instruments such as guitar, piano and
harps make the perception of the concept of harmony more evident, because,
they enable more easily the simultaneous execution of multiple notes.

Timbre
It is the characteristic of sounds that allows us to differentiate a note.
musical emitted by a piano of a violin, for example. The timbre is the
the sound wave format, each musical instrument presents a mode
of its own vibration, which results in the production of a characteristic sound.
The timbre also ensures that the human voice is different in each
individual, allowing us to activate devices through commands
of voice, for example.
