Saved by Grace!!

The document discusses the theological question of whether salvation in Christianity is achieved through grace or works, emphasizing that it is by grace alone. It cites various Bible verses, particularly from Romans and Ephesians, to support the argument that salvation is a free gift from God, not earned through human actions. The author concludes that while good works are important as a testimony of faith, they do not contribute to one's salvation, which is solely through faith in Jesus Christ.

Well, to continue with what was promised.

This time we will exegete or better said

we will study one of the most difficult questions to answer in Christianity, the
which surely more than one person will have done to you and recites in this way

Are we saved by grace or by works?

So, let's begin our article. But first, I would like to define the
the word 'Grace' as it can sometimes create confusion if not defined.
correctly, and my goal is not at any time to do that. So for
define it in a simple way to all our readers Grace = Free, without
no cost, it is a gift, it has no price, nothing is paid for it,
only received.

Now that we have defined and understood the word 'Grace', we can move on to
talk about how metamorphosis works, to be saved; we will use as
always my style xD, which is to show through multiple Bible verses
That this salvation by grace is more than a doctrine.

To start talking about this, we will use the book of Romans a lot.
written by Pablo, which is also called 'The Book of Grace' because it is
one of the texts from the New Testament that most defines that salvation in
Jesus Christ is by Grace and not by works, let's see it.

Romans 3

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
23

being justified freely by His grace, through the redemption that is in

24

Christ Jesus.

At this moment, I want us to focus on verse 24, as a

a new word has just appeared, and I don't want to miss this moment and
define it once and for all, which is that Just = Saved; as long as in the Bible
Mentioning the word 'Just' defines that the person is saved.
So as we have seen, if the word Just means saved, then
we read in verse 24 that the salvation of the Gentiles is freely by
means of grace in Christ Jesus.

Romans 4

1
What then shall we say that Abraham, our father according to the flesh, found?

2
Because if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not.
for with God.

3
For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for

justice.

4
But to the one who works, his wage is not counted as grace, but as a debt;

5
but to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted

for justice.

16 Therefore, it is by faith, so that it may be by grace, in order that the promise may be sure.

for all his descendants; not only for those who are of the law, but also
for the one who is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

We see in the first underlined verse that Abraham was also saved by faith.
in the promise that God made to him at that moment, which said that he would be a father
of many nations and that his descendants would be like the sand of the sea.

So we are starting to see a bit of clarity in this matter, as we see that

also the great father Abraham was saved by faith, and has nothing to do with
At no time the circumcision or uncircumcision because he was not yet in the
covenant of circumcision.
But I need you to also focus on verse 5, which is one of the
most important in this study, because if we read carefully we see that the
apostle, is affirming that: He who does nothing to save himself, but believes in
he who justifies (who is Jesus Christ the Son of God), then his faith, just like
the faith of father Abraham is counted to them for righteousness, that is to say, he is Saved!

And we read again in verse 16, that it is not by works, but by 'Faith', to
that it may not be by works but solely and exclusively by 'Grace' so that
that everyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life as it says the
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

But for me, I always like to save the best part for last xD, so
I will show you a verse in the book of Ephesians, which affirms and proves and
refute any other type of doctrine that claims that salvation is by works or by
money or by some type of human act.

Efesios 2

4
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5
Even when we were dead in sins, He gave us life together with Christ.
(for by grace you are saved)

6
and together with him resurrected us, and likewise made us sit in the places
heavenly with Christ Jesus,

7
to show in the coming centuries the abundant riches of his grace in his
kindness towards us in Christ Jesus.

8
For by grace you are saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, for it is
gift of God;

9
not by works, so that no one may boast.
Now with this biblical text that I have just shown you, it is more than clear that
No one, absolutely no one! can be saved by means of works that
realize, whether to the community, family, ecclesiastical, or to the Lord himself.
Let us read it carefully, so that no one has the slightest doubt about it.

First, I want us to be literal in verse 5, which speaks of the

an imperative need that all the inhabitants of planet Earth have, to receive
Jesus in his heart for redemption and forgiveness of sins. Since the apostle
it mentions in this verse that all people, regardless of creed, sex,
religion, social status, language, are in total sin, since remember that for
a man entered sin, but through a man it was removed, who is Christ. So my
Dear reader, if you have not yet received the Lord Jesus in your heart, I invite you.
cordially to do it, because this salvation is more than a
physiological need.

Furthermore, we can read in the second part of the verse, it clearly mentions,
that God himself, through the sacrifice of his son on the cross, had compassion on us and is

through his salvation and his sacrifice on the cross, in other words as already
We had mentioned it before! By grace we are saved!

And it confirms it again in verse 8. Which clearly states without any

type of roundabout or metaphors, which is through faith, which serves as a stepping stone
to attain the grace of God and we read that it is not even from us, but
it is a gift from heaven, or rather a gift from God, and it cannot be bought or
sell so that no one boasts.

Let's be a little logical, now I want to make use of this last space here
it remains for me to use logic together with you and you will see that even logic does not accept it

this, of salvation by works.

Let's assume I am the richest man in the world xD, and I have heard about the
salvation and heaven and all that and well perhaps like my youthful passions have
a little down, I am no longer the same as before and now I think a little more about myself
death and desire to become somewhat spiritual. Since no one was designed by God
to die, but to live eternally, but the problem is that we all seek
to a God that adapts to our lifestyles and that will NEVER be the case, but instead
that we have to change our hearts and project them towards
Father. But at another time we will talk about why people do not come to
the light.

So as I was saying, if I have so many millions in the bank and I want to be

I save and have enough money to buy it, so why not?
do it! but at that moment an 85-year-old elderly woman, a widow realizes that
you have to buy the ticket to go to heaven, and you don't have enough money for it.
do it and because of his age, he does not possess the skills he had in his youth like
in order to do some work that allows him to compensate for the equivalent of the ticket.

Now I ask you, will God be just in this case? Your answer
Definitely, I know perfectly that it will be NO. So we see that the same logic
what life has given us tells us perfectly that if salvation is from the
men and the things we do, then God is unjust and does not support His
Word, because in Isaiah it gives us this beautiful verse:

Isaiah 55:

1
And all you who are thirsty: Come to the waters; and you who have no money, come,
Buy and eat. Come, buy without money and without price, wine and milk.

And in this verse, in summary, it says that to anyone who is thirsty without
import your age, your condition, your health, in short, to anyone who wants to come to
rest and eat that come. This is an open invitation for everyone
it is not for any pastor, father, religion, it is for anyone who wishes to change their
life and show again that it is free!
But then you might be wondering, what are the works for then?
who serves me to be saved? And I will answer you, very good question xD!! And
I will also answer you, you are lucky because that's why I am here.
explain a little.

Well, the truth is they are very necessary. The works are the fruit of salvation,

but salvation is never the result of worksThe only step towards salvation is the
THE TRUE FAITHin Christ, and the works after converting are primarily
to generate "Testimony" before men and before God so that everyone can
see with their own eyes what God has done with you and they may repent and also
come to the eternal light and many things, more that have reward in this life
and in the other, it says the scripture.

So I hope this little document has cleared up your doubts and you no longer
you have no kind of question about it.

And when they ask you again, how one is saved. Then with all
security and authority respond to them: 'Through grace, in Jesus Christ'
