Bosquejos Biblicos – Texto Biblico:2 Crónicas 7:13-14

If tonight we were asked what is missing in your family? What
Would it be our response? Possibly many would focus on the
material, perhaps we would respond that what is needed in our
family is more money, or more work, or more space in our
house, we might think that what is needed is a vehicle,
etc.
But if we analyze the text we have read to begin with
we can recognize that the question is not focused on things
materials, but about what our family lacks to
to face the difficulty, to confront the tests and the crises of the
life (vers. 13)
This verse speaks to us about closed heavens, about locusts that
they consume the land and there is pestilence upon the people, that is to say
about situations that are out of our control, about
Situations that sooner or later may affect our family.
What does my family need to be able to face difficulties?
to be able to face the crises of life? Let's see what we
Teach the word of God in verse 14 about those He makes us.
is missing for many of us in our families:

I. WE NEED HUMILITY (vers. 14A)

The first thing the Lord wanted from His people is that they humble themselves,
and this means that there was much pride in his heart
town.
Unfortunately, in many Christian families, what matters most does.
humility is missing, and in times of crisis and difficulty the
humility is necessary to be able to recognize that:
Many of the problems we are facing in our
family is due to our own bad decisions and not
We must not blame our God (Proverbs 19:3) but rather with
humility we must seek your help
The true solution to the problems and crises in our life is
in our God, everything else is just patches, emergency exits,
false illusions, vain promises, that in the end only bring to
our family is frustration and bitterness (Isaiah 31:1-3)
true help and protection for our family only comes
of the Lord (verse 6).

II. WE NEED PRAYER (2 Chronicles 7:14B)

It is sad but it is a reality that in many Christian families still
In times of crisis, the least available thing is time to pray.
family.
Unfortunately, in many of our Christian families what
there is an abundance of television, an abundance of social media,
abundance of online games, abundance of music, but there is
scarcity of prayer.
Our whole family must understand that prayer is not a
option, or one of the many ways to face difficulties,
but it is truly a necessity (Luke 18:1)
We need to pray as a family always.
The prayer opens the opportunity for our family
acknowledge that our God can make the impossible possible
Mark 11:24
We must understand that prayer in the family is a
direct connection with the Kingdom of Heaven in our home (Matthew
18:20). Many times we apply this verse only to the
church, but the first place where this verse becomes a reality
it is in our own house.
The prayer in family helps us to forgive each other and to live together.
harmony with our family members (Mark 11:25) and that will bring
blessing to our home.

III. WE NEED TO SEEK GOD IN THE CHURCH

Chronicles 7:14
Nowadays, families are so busy looking for so many things.
that they have forgotten the main thing: To seek God.
We spend the weeks and months searching for material provision.
in work, in business, that many times we do not separate the
time to seek the things of God in the church, why not
We have believed what the word of the Lord says (Matthew 6:33).
God has always wanted us to seek Him as a family in the place
that he has established (Deuteronomy 12:4-8) and currently the
place where we should go as a family to seek and worship our
God is the church where we congregate.
A family that does not gather, that does not seek the Lord in its
house, that is to say in the church, is a family that is getting lost
great blessings (Psalm 111:2).
Let's not fall into the bad habit of many Christian families
(Hebrews 10:25).

IV. WE NEED TO LEAVE OUR BAD PATHS

Chronicles 7:14
As a Christian family, we must understand that not only do we
try to call us Christians, but rather to live as God's children
(Philippians 2:15).
Many parents think that we can live
as we please and neither our children nor anyone else has the right to
tell us that what we do is not right (Nehemiah 9:16).
There are also sons and daughters who do not acknowledge their wrong ways,
but in their own opinion their paths are straight (Proverbs
30:12).
In many Christian families, their members are already
gathering consistently, some are already serving in
ministers of his church are already tithing and offering with
faithfulness, but the Lord calls us directly to our
life (Jeremiah 7:1-3).
As a family, we have to make the decision to stop going on.
living like everyone lives but we have to make our mark
difference (Jeremiah 15:19).
Tonight, to finish, let's ask ourselves a very important question:
Whom do I want my family to be friends with, the world or God?
(James 4:4).

Philippians 4:8-9

INTRODUCTION

UPON OBSERVING THE REALITY OF OUR SOCIETY WE

WE REALIZE THAT WE ARE A SOCIETY LACKING
Moral and spiritual values.

AND VALUES ARE INSTILLED FIRST NOT IN THE

SCHOOL OR IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, THE VALUES ARE
IMBUED IN THE HEART OF A FAMILY.

IF SOCIETY IS SICK IT'S BECAUSE THE FAMILY IS

SICK, SHE IS WOBBLING, AND WE WANT HER TO
SCHOOL IMBUE IN OUR CHILDREN WHAT WE
WE DON'T DO IT AT HOME, BUT THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE.

BUT WHAT ARE VALUES?? THEY ARE ALL THOSE

ATTITUDES THAT SHAPE US AS PEOPLE, LIKE
MEN AND WOMEN.

AND THEY ARE SO IMPORTANT BECAUSE THE SCHOOL CAN

TO TRAIN A BACHELOR, THE UNIVERSITY TRAINS A DOCTOR,
A lawyer, an administrator, but the family shapes
AS A PERSON AND THE BETTER PEOPLE WE ARE
We will be the best children of God.

As Christians, we have a great advantage over

AN INCONVERSABLE FAMILY: (2 CORINTHIANS 5:17) WE
WE HAVE A NEW SPIRITUAL NATURE, WE HAVE THE
CAPACITY TO LIVE WITH MORAL VALUES OF OUR
NEW NATURE.

THE VERSES WITH WHICH WE STARTED THE

HOLY SPIRIT GIVES US A LIST OF EVERYTHING THAT SHOULD
NEWS IN OUR WAY OF ACTING: EVERYTHING
HONEST, EVERYTHING PURE, THINK OF THIS.

BUT THE APOSTLE ALSO SAYS IMPACTFUL WORDS:

Everything they have seen, heard, learned from me this
DO IT, THIS IS MORAL AUTHORITY... WE HAVE
THIS AUTHORITY??

BEFORE TEACHING VALUES TO OUR FAMILY, IT IS IMPERATIVE

LET'S PRACTICE IT OURSELVES FIRST, WE CANNOT DEMAND
TO OUR CHILDREN TO DO SOMETHING THAT WE OURSELVES DO NOT
WE LIVE.

LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE VALUES THAT AS A CHRISTIAN FAMILY

WE CANNOT LOSE THEM BUT RATHER MUST FOSTER THEM, TO
TO MAKE OUR CHILDREN GOOD PEOPLE.

I) FIRST VALUE: RESPECT (1 PETER 2:17)

RESPECT IS THE FOUNDATION OF VALUES, FOR RESPECT

IT MAKES US ACCEPT OUR OWN VALUE AND RIGHTS OF
PEOPLE, AND MAKES US LIVE IN PEACE.

Respect for the rights of others is peace.

At home, we must teach respect for others.

Elders (Lev 19:32)

AT HOME WE MUST TEACH RESPECT TO

AUTHORITY (ROMANS 13:1) THAT IS TO SAY TEACHERS, POLICE,
DIRECTORS ETC.

AT HOME WE MUST TEACH RESPECT TO PARENTS

(Ephesians 6:2) From the greeting in the morning, until the end.
GOOD NIGHT TO GO TO BED.
II) SECOND VALUE: GRATITUDE (PHILIPPIANS 4:6)

WE MUST TEACH OUR CHILDREN TO BE GRATEFUL

IN EVERYTHING THAT CAN BE GIVEN TO THEM.

LET'S NOT TEACH OUR CHILDREN TO DISPARAGE IT

WHAT DO WE HAVE IF NOT TO GIVE THANKS KNOWING THAT HE
Thankfulness opens the doors to blessing
OF GOD IN OUR LIFE.

OUR CHILDREN LISTEN TO WORDS IN OUR MOUTH

OF THANKS OR WORDS OF COMPLAINT AND OF
DISDAIN.

IF WE DO NOT INSTILL THANKFULNESS IN THEM, THEY WILL NOT

THEY WILL LIVE WITH CONTENTMENT.

III) THIRD VALUE: RESPONSIBILITY (ROMANS 14:12)

WHAT IS RESPONSIBILITY: COMPLIANCE WITH THE

OBLIGATIONS, OBLIGATION TO ANSWER BEFORE
OUR ACTS.

OUR CHILDREN MUST KNOW THAT THEIR FAILURES

THE MAIN RESPONSIBLE ONES ARE NOT THE PARENTS BUT RATHER
THEMSELVES.

WE DO NOT COVER THE IRRESPONSIBILITIES OF OURS

CHILDREN

IV) FOURTH VALUE: HONESTY (LEVITICUS 19:13)

HONESTY IS INTEGRITY IN ACTION, IT IS THAT

A person who, despite their economic need, does
TO PREVAIL IN DOING WHAT IS JUST AND RIGHT.

WE CANNOT ALLOW OUR CHILDREN TO CARRY TO

HOUSE OBJECTS THAT WE DO NOT KNOW WHERE THEY COME FROM.

DOES NOT REALIZE THAT HIS CHILDREN BUY THINGS THAT

THEY NORMALLY CANNOT PAY, IT HAS NOT
ASKED WHERE THEY COME FROM??

WE MUST TEACH OUR FAMILY THAT EVEN THOUGH

HAVING MANY NEEDS IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR
OBTAINING THINGS FRAUDULENTLY = THE
RETURN ON THE BUS, STOP PAYING ON CREDIT IN THE STORE,
ETC

ILLUSTRATION OF TODAY'S REPORT FROM THE NEWSPAPER:

GIRLS WHO SELL THEIR BODY AND WHO SELL
DRUGS TO PAY FOR YOUR STUDIES, THAT IS NOT IT
Pleasant in the eyes of God and brings
CONSEQUENCES IN OUR LIFE (PROVERBS 1:10-19)

V) FIFTH VALUE: HONESTY (EZEKIEL 16:8)

HONESTY IS A MORAL VALUE THAT HAS TO DO WITH

WITH THE TRUTH, THE PURE, A MAN AND A WOMAN
HONESTY HAS SEVERAL QUALITIES: DECENT, PROPER,
SHY AND MODEST.

WE PROMOTE DISHONESTY WHEN WE ALLOW

THAT OUR DAUGHTERS DRESS IN A WAY NOT
RESCUED.

BUT HOW CAN WE DEMAND OUR CHILDREN TO BE

DECOROUS IF WE ARE NOT, IF WE WEAR CLOTHES
DISHONEST, IF WE ACT IN A WAY
DISHONESTY,(THE FRIEND WHO SLEEPS AT HOME)

WHEN WE BECOME COVERERS OF THE

DISHONESTIES OF OUR SONS OR DAUGHTERS FOR BEING
Tattletales.

Fifth Value: Love (John 13:34)

WE MUST TEACH OURSELVES TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER

WITHIN THE FAMILY, NOT TO HATE EACH OTHER, NOT TO
DISREGARDING US.

WHEN THERE IS LOVE, THERE IS TOLERANCE, THERE IS FORGIVENESS, THERE IS

HARMONY

BUT THE MAIN LOVE THAT MUST EXIST IS THE LOVE FOR
OUR GOD.
