GENERAL OPERATION
INTRODUCTION

Nissan's anti-theft system (NATS) was introduced


initially around 1995 with a basic immobilizer,
that did not use the dominant transponders. This system
it was known as NATS 1.

NATS 2 was introduced later, it uses the


transponder technology. Other interactions of the system
