Competency
• Must be found on the Minimum Learning Competency used last year
• Must be on time or based on Budget of Work
• Terminal objectives must be sub-tasked into 4-5 days.Kita yung specific competency sa isang araw.
• In sub-tasking, pre-requisite/ preparatory competency/ ies should be considered.
• Break the components stated on the broad competencies like
“Nasasagot ang mga tanong tungkol sa napakinggang/nabasang pabula,kuwento, tekstong pang-
impormasyon at usapan

II. Subject Matter
• Must capture what the learning competency is about
• Like “1st day Learning Competency:
“ Nasasagot ang mga tanong tungkol sa napakinggang/nabasang
pabula.
Subject Matter will be:

• NOTE: that SLMs are only use as references to get activities and not
the materials to use in teaching _CID Chief

• A. Pre-liminary Activities
• This includes the following parts:
➢Drill/ review_ these are activities that could prepare the learners to
understand the lesson you teach later. This could be lessons in previous
grades/ quarter /last week or yesterday’s lesson.
➢Motivation_ This is asking questions about their experiences that are
related to the story/ chosen springboard material/ sometimes lesson to
present like in Science.
➢Motive Question_This is the question you are going to ask that is aligned
to the questions under your motivation which the answer is found in the
story/situation used.
➢Motivation-Motive question tandem or alignment. This usually observe
when you teach reading and when you use story/ situation as springboard.

B. Presentation and Development of the lesson
➢When using story as springboard, ask questions that are relevant
only. It is also encouraged to really chose your material. If you think
you cannot draw relevant questions for your lesson then do not use.
➢Relevant when these questions pave the way in the development of
your lesson.
➢Questions that will generate the important ideas/ answers from the
springboard/story that you could use later in the development of the
lesson.
➢Relevant questions when they develop the learning objective of the
lesson.

➢From your questions’ answerss, use them to develop the lesson.
➢ Maximize the ideas in the story in the development of your lesson.
➢When directly asking questions that develop your lesson, weave
questions beautifully, efficiently achieving the objective/s of the
lesson.
➢Ask questions that address the 5 levels of comprehension_as
appropriate.
➢For open ended questions, encourage diverse response from
learners.
➢Wag maging maramot sa pagtatanong ng relevant questions dahil
dito natututo ang mga bata sa comprehension at life skills minsan.

➢Focus on what the learning competency asks.Do not insert any that
are not relevant like:
“Naipaliliwanag ang mga panuntunan sa paggamit ng computer,
Internet, at email”
➢Dito sa discussion of the lesson ay ipaliwanag ang panuntunan sa
paggamit ng computer, internet at email. Huwag ng talakayin ang
kung ano ang computer at mga bahagi nito. Ano ang email at internet
dahil panuntunan na ang ipapakitang pagkatuto ng mga mag-aaral
pagkatapos ng aralin.
➢Wag maging maramot sa pagbibigay ng halimbawa dahil dito
natututo ang mga mag-aaral.

B. Discussion/Development of the lesson
➢Examples are given after utilizing the ideas drawn from the story
used.
➢Examples could be given as follows:
1st- I do , you watch(This is aside from your first example)
2nd_Let’s do it( Guided Practices)
3rd_You do it( Group work activities/Differentiated Activities)
**Grouping the learners is based on your lesson need. It could be based on
Multiple Intelligences, interest, and others. It is encouraged to present the
activities using different strategies

➢Utilize most of your time in this part of the lesson especially when
you think the lesson is hard to understand by your learners.
C. Paglalapat / Valuing /Values integration
➢What activity will you give /ask them to apply their learnings about
the lesson?
➢Application to real life situations
D.Paglalahat o Generalization
➢In a question form.
➢It could be an activity but questions must be asked for them about
the activity given
IV. Evaluation/ Formative Test
➢Always anchor your test items on your learning competencies.
➢Arrange the test items from easy to difficult. This is in instances that
you have 2-3 learning competencies listed in a day.
➢It is encouraged to construct items that directly measure your
objectives,
➢Measure the learning based on how you developed to them.
➢If it requires to let them demonstrate /perform , let them do it.
➢Rubrics is encouraged to constructed items needing it.
➢Number of items depends on how easy or difficult the competency.
V. Assignment
➢This is additional work to enhance their skill about the lesson
➢This could also an advance activity for the following day
NOTES:
➢Sa bawat bahagi ng aralin ay kailangang magkaroon ng good linking.
➢Magkaroon ng relevant adlib para maiconnect ang bawat bahagi ng
lesson.
➢Sa level of assessment na 1 down, 1 up ay applicable sa parte ng
discussion of the lesson. Dito ay maaaring magtanong ng angkop
matataas na level ng pagtatanong.
➢Always observe congruency / alignment of activities to the learning
competencies
➢In planning, it is also necessary to integrate all the needed indicators
on your IPCRF.
