01 Computerized The setup shall consists of single cylinder, four stroke, CRDI VCR engine connected to 1
single cylinder 4- eddy current dynamometer and provided with necessary instruments for combustion

Engine performance study shall include brake power, indicated power, frictional power,
BMEP, IMEP, brake thermal efficiency, indicated thermal efficiency, Mechanical
efficiency, volumetric efficiency, specific fuel consumption, Air fuel ratio, heat balance
and combustion analysis. Engine Performance Analysis software package Enginesoft
shall be provided for online performance evaluation. The setup must have the following
configurations:
Engine: Single cylinder CRDI VCR with open ECU, 4 stroke Diesel, water cooled, power
5.2 kW (7 BHP) at 1500 rpm, stroke 110 mm, bore 87.5 mm. Compression ratio 17.5:1,
capacity 661 cc. with Water cooled Eddy current dynamometer of reputed make Saj/
Technomech/ Accurate) of suitable capacity to test the engine at full load , Piezo
sensor: Range 5000 PSI, with low noise cable, Data acquisition device: NI USB-6210.
16-bit, 250kS/s , Air box with orifice meter and manometer, duel fuel tank of capacity
15 ltr. with glass fuel metering column, Pipe in pipe Type Calorimeter , Temperature
