Moving Towards Adolescent-Friendly Health Services
This module will focus on the organizational and structural context that provides the adolescent opportunities and
challenges that would affect them in their lifetime and the next generation.
At the end of the module, you should be able to:
1. Describe the main characteristics of quality health care services for adolescent;
2. Discuss the appropriate manner in taking sexual history and in disclosing a positive pregnancy test;
3. Discuss how to use CRAFFT, a validated drug and alcohol screening tool and how to apply a method using the
5As to help adolescents quit smoking; and
4. Discuss the overview of the Adolescent Health and Development Program (AHDP) manual of operations and
strategic framework.
