Toastmaster of the Day Script and
Checklist
“Thank you Sergeant at Arms __________ __________ for the introduction. Good afternoon everyone and welcome to
the 997
meeting of the West Mall Toastmasters Club. I am your Toastmaster of the Day and my name is
_______________Nour Merjani__________.
I would first like to acknowledge our Guests who are joining us here today. Welcome __ (name them individually).
We’re happy to have you with us and at the end of the meeting I will ask you to share your thoughts about the
meeting.
The theme today is _________________Thriving in difficult times_________ (Give a 2 minute explanation of the
theme)
What does it truly mean to thrive—not just survive—during adversity?
How have your past struggles shaped the person you are today?
1 Is suffering always necessary for growth, or can we evolve without pain?
What inner strengths or values do you tend to discover when things fall apart?
In difficult times, do you lean more on yourself, others, or something greater? Why?
How do you distinguish between giving up and gracefully letting go?
2 What role does mindset play in transforming a setback into a setup for growth?
Who are you when no one is watching and the pressure is high?
What small choices during hard times have had the biggest impact later on?
3 If your current challenge was actually preparing you for something greater, what might that be?
