He was conscious and co-operative. Rapport could be established. Eye to eye contact
maintained. His attention could be aroused but difficult to sustained for a long time.
Comprehension capacity was inadequate. He has difficulty in fluent speech, and non-
verbal communication was found to be fair.

H/o poor academic performance / immature behaviours

On Binet Kamat Test his mental age was placed at 9 years and obtained an IQ
of 62.
On Specific Learning Disability Assessment , he has severe difficulty in reading
and spelling, in Tamil.
On Vineland Social Maturity Scale, his profile of abilities as follows,

RECOMMENDATION:
Parental counseling-
he would benefit from regular one-to-one teaching and a individualized Educational
programme (IEP) with other cognitive enhancement therapies to improve her
literacy skills.
He may be benefited by the facilities available for Dyslexic students in the Board
Examinations such as extra time, allowances for spelling mistakes, use of
calculators, and Clark tables, exemption of second language etc.,.
Since he has severe difficulty in writing (inadequate visual-motor coordination ) he
might benefit by providing a scribe to write the examination.
