UPSC 2026 Foundation Plan (May 15 –

July 31, 2025)


This is a flexible 75-day plan to help Sumiya build a strong foundation for the UPSC CSE
2026 exam. It focuses on NCERTs, CSAT basics, Malayalam paper preparation, and
disciplined daily routines, especially considering degree exams in June-July.

Phase 1: May 15 – June 10


- Focus: Start small, stay consistent
- Read 2 NCERT chapters/day (start with History & Polity)
- Practice basic CSAT maths (Percentages, Ratios, Time & Work)
- Read Malayalam editorial daily and translate one paragraph
- Light writing: 2 pages of notes or translation/day

Sample Daily Routine

5:00 – 6:00 AM Wake up, revise or read newspaper
6:00 – 8:00 AM GS Subject 1 (History/Polity NCERT)
7:00 – 8:00 PM Malayalam editorial reading + 1 paragraph

8:00 – 9:00 PM CSAT basic maths (Percentages / Time &
Work)

Phase 2: June 11 – July 31


- Continue static GS: Finish Polity + History, Start Geography (6–10 NCERTs)
- 1 CSAT practice set every Sunday (20 Qs)
- 1 translation/letter writing practice in Malayalam every weekend
- Weekly revision every Sunday

Weekly Targets (Both Phases)


- Read 12–14 NCERT chapters/week
- Solve 15–20 CSAT questions/week
- Write 2 Malayalam practice pieces/week
- Sunday = revision + CSAT mock

Optional Enhancements
- Watch Vision IAS or StudyIQ current affairs videos (1–2/week)
- Maintain a UPSC journal to track thoughts, doubts, and summaries
