1. Clean-Up Drive
A community-wide clean-up drive was held with the active participation of BADAC members, barangay
officials, and PWUDs. This activity fostered a sense of shared responsibility for the environment and
provided PWUDs a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the betterment of their barangay. Areas
surrounding public pathways, community centers, and residential zones were thoroughly cleaned.
2. Distribution of IEC Materials
To further enhance awareness and understanding of the ill effects of illegal drugs, BADAC members
distributed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials directly to PWUDs and
community members. These materials contained vital information on drug prevention, rehabilitation
programs, and the roles of community members in maintaining a drug-free environment.
3. Restoration of Wooden Footbridge
In a collaborative effort between PWUDs and barangay volunteers, the restoration of a damaged
wooden footbridge was undertaken. This project served as both a rehabilitation initiative and a
community service endeavor, reinforcing the importance of cooperation, productivity, and
reintegration.
4. BADAC Meeting with MPS Mapun Personnel
A strategic coordination meeting was conducted between BADAC and personnel from the Mapun
Municipal Police Station (MPS). The meeting focused on strengthening mechanisms for monitoring,
intervention, and enforcement of anti-drug measures within the barangay. The collaboration
underscored the importance of a whole-of-community approach to drug prevention.
5. Communal Gardening
To promote sustainable livelihood and positive engagement, communal gardening activities were
carried out with the involvement of PWUDs and barangay officials. This initiative provided therapeutic
value, encouraged discipline, and offered a productive routine for participants while enhancing food
security at the community level.
