Story 1

An Pamasyada ni Bong
Usa ka adlaw, waray klase hi Bong. Iginsul-
ot niya an tsinelas ngan ginawas han balay.

baybay. Samtang nagbibiyahe, gin-abat niya

pasahe, sinulod na hiya diretso.Niru-niyan,
matawa-tawa hiya nga gumawas ha tinapayan.

Hi Brando

Andam na an plato ngan kutsara ha


lamesa. May ada pa tsamporado, saging,
prutas, ngan prito . “Karasa han akon
pamahaw, Nanay,” siring ni Brando. “Andam
na ako yana para han amon kontes!”
Ginsulod ha bag an bras , lapis ngan krayola.
Sul-ot ni Brando an tsinelas ngan tsaliko.
Sumakay na hiya ha dyip tikadto ha
eskwelahan.
Nakit-an niya an gwardiya nga hi Mano Blas.
“Maupay nga adlaw Mano Blas,” siring ni
Brando. “Andam ka na ba?”pakiana ni Mano
Blas. “Andam na ako, Mano Blas!” baton ni
Brando. Pinakpakan ngan gindayaw hiya han
mga tawo.

Milky the Bangus was not nice to


the other animals in the sea. He
played alone. One day, he got stuck
in a net! He cried for help. The
animals came to help him. They
pulled on the net until it broke. Milky
was free! Milky became nice to all.

Isang Kakaibang Araw


Iba’t ibang tao ang sumakay sa jeepney
ni tatay. May mga estudyanteng papasok
ng eskwela. May aleng mamalengke. May
nanay na may kasamang anak. Pero may
isang taong sumakay na bukod-tangi. Ang
suot niyay makulay at maluwang na damit.
Napakalaki ng sapatos niyang pula! Pula
rin ang ilong niya. Putting-puti ang mukha
niya at asul ang kulot niyang buhok. Hindi
ko siyang mapigilang tingnan. Tinitigan din
siya ng katabi niya. Ngumiti siya sabay
labas ng limang bola mula sa kanyang
bulsa. Isa-isa niyang itinapon ang mga bola
pataas at sinalo. Paulit-ulit niya itong
ginawa. Napapalakpak kaming lahat!

Ang Pagong at ang Kuneho

“Ako ang pinakamabilis tumakbo,” sabi


ng kuneho. “Wala nang bibilis pa sa akin”.
“Naku, Kuneho, wala ka ng ibang sinabi
kung hindi gaano ka kabilis tumakbo,” sabi
ng pagong. “Hinahamon kita sa isang
paligsahan.” “Hindi mo ako matatalo,”
sabi ni Kuneho. “Dahil mas mabilis akong
tumakbo!” “Malalaman natin ‘yan bukas
ng umaga.” sabi naman ni Pagong.
“Kapana-panabik ito,” sabi ni Buwaya.
“Kawawa naman si Pagong kasi ang bagal
niyang gumalaw.” sabi naman ni Elepante.
“Kahit mabagal siya ay hindi naman siya
tumitigil,” sabi ni Unggoy. Kinabukasan,
dumating ang lahat ng hayop upang
manood ng paligsahan. Nagsimula ang
paligsahan. Nakatulog si kuneho habang si
pagong ay patuloy na naglakad hanggang
nakarating na siya sa finish line. At siya
ang nanalo sa paligsahan.
Story 1 - The Banana Peelings
Celso was eating bananas one evening.
He threw the peelings out of the window.
The next morning, Celso got ready for
school. He did not want to be late for
school. He walked fast. “Ouch!” Celso cried
as he stepped on some banana peelings.
Down he fell. His clothes became dirty. His
books dropped. “Are you hurt?” Mother
asked running to him. “No, Mother, I am
not hurt,” Celso said as he got up. He
looked at the banana peelings. “Somebody
did not use the garbage can,” Mother said.
“I threw these peelings last night, Mother.
Next time, I will use the garbage can,” said
Celso.

sorry for mother. They did not have much
money. So he said, “Let’s plant vegetables
in our backyard. Then we will not have to
buy them in the market.” So Lino planted
three plots of tomatoes, two plots of
eggplants and a plot of pechay. He had
some amargoso climbing on the bamboo
fence. Lino worked in his garden after
class every afternoon. He grew more
vegetables than they could eat. Mother
sold some of them in the market.
