Hong. My nickname is Rose. I am 27 years old and I am still single. I was
born in Hanoi and I grew up there but after I graduated from university I

Every day I get up at 6 o’clock. I brush my teeth, wash my face and take a bath.
After that I get dressed, have breakfast then go to work. My work starts at 7:00 am so I
usually leave my home at 6:30 am. I usually go to work by company bus service so
that I can save money. However sometimes when I get up late I use my motorbike to
go to company. In the company we do exercise for 30 minutes then we start to work.
At half fast eleven I usually have lunch with my manager. After that we take a nap for

Candidate: I was born and raised in Milan, Italy. I attended the University of

enjoy playing tennis in my free time and learning languages.
Interviewer: What type of position are you looking for?

Candidate: I work well under pressure. When there is a deadline (a time by

(current project) and structure my work schedule well. I remember one
week when I had to get 6 new customer reports out by Friday at 5. I
finished all the reports ahead of time without having to work overtime.

Candidate: I am overzealous (work too hard) and become nervous when my
coworkers are not pulling their weight (doing their job). However, I am

Music is all around us. It’s on the radio, on TV, in the background , in
department stores, restaurants, and even on our smartphones! Music is
important in our everyday lives because it helps us to relax and even learn
something from the lyrics. There are many kinds of music such as pop, hip

on. I like pop music the most, I actually download lots of it. Whenever I

English language is now very important in the lives of people as it is

used as an international language. All English learners want to improve
their English skills as quickly as possible but we have to admit the fact that

learning it.
We all know that being fluent in speaking English can help us to get
better job, get higher salary, higher position at work, can help us to

advantages but sadly to say that many of us ignore learning it. Some

Every Mondays to Saturdays I have to get up before 7 to prepare

everything for work. I am a married woman with two children so I always
cook breakfast for my family have meal with them and then after that I
and my husband take our children to their school. At 7:45 a.m I usually
arrive at my company. First I turn on my computer then check emails.
After checking and answering our customer’s email I start to make report
to my boss, I have to make it carefully so my boss won’t have any
complaints about the report I make and when I complete it I send it to my
boss and wait for the feedback. At 12 o’clock I have lunch at the canteen
with my colleagues. The food at our company is not really bad so when I
am full I often take a nap for about half hour. Our company always has
one hour break and I think it’s enough for me to eat, take a rest and

then I come back to our company to join the meeting in the afternoon. I

Topic 20 Why breakfast is
important

Breakfast is not only the most important meal of the day, it

is also the most neglected. Common reasons for not eating
breakfast include lack of time, not feeling hungry, traditional
dislike for breakfast , and dieting. Breakfast simply means “break
the fast”. Your body spends at least 6 to 12 hours each night in
fasting state. In the morning your body needs energy for the
day’s work ahead. A good breakfast should provide up to 1/3 of
our total calorie needs for the day. On average, we eat 400 less
calories for breakfast than for dinner. If the breakfast does not
appeal to you in the morning, try eating a lighter dinner earlier in
the evening or save half your dinner for breakfast in the
morning . If you still are not hungry in the morning, start with
something small like juice or toast or have a nutritious mid-
morning snack later when you are hungry . So you say you’re on
a diet. Some people fear eating breakfast will make them
hungrier during the day and they will eat more. It is true that
eating breakfast is likely to make you feel hungry throughout the
day. That’s because your body is working correctly. Although you
may feel as if you are eating more all day long , in reality you are
probably not . Not eating breakfast can also cause to overeat,
since a fall in blood sugar often makes you feel very hungry later.

To make matters worse, since your body is in a slowed state

it will not be able to burn those extra calories very efficiently . If
you feed your body healthy snacks and meals throughout the day,
you are less likely to become hungry and stuff yourself as soon as
you begin to eat. Since breakfast is the first and most important
meal of the day, choosing the right fuel is important.
