Role of Communication
1. Decision-Making:

Communication helps managers, gather necessary data and make informed decisions. It also
encourages discussion for final decision.

Example: Annual Meetings

 Suggestion & Reputation:


Suggestion enhances the quality and effect the final choices. Reputation influences
decision making by shaping trust and confident in individuals and firm.

 Sharing & Discussion:


Once information is collected, it needs to be communicated clearly with stakeholders.
Meating, emails and reports are used to share findings & discuss alternatives.

 Strong decision-Making Communication:


Strong decision-making communication leads to final decision making, better problem
solving, higher confidence and reduce the risk of costly errors.

 Information Gathering:
Good decision starts with accurate and complete information. Communication helps gather
facts, opinions and data from internal and external resources.

2. Life-Blood of An Organization:
Communication is an integral part of any firm or an organization because it is essential for
every function, process and relationship within a business.

Example: Promotions

 Facilitates The Flow Of information:


Communication ensures smooth workflow between all levels of organization between
leaders, employees, management and departments.
 Strong organization Culture:
It is an ingrained set of sharing values that enhances employes behavior, their unity and
decision- making ability.

 Circulatory System For organization:


Just as the circulatory system is vital for human body, communication is also vital for
organization`s growth, health and survival.

3. Progress:
Communication plays a key role in any firm. It ensures that goals are clearly understand,
tasks are coordinated and achievements are tracked. Without effective communication,
progress can be delayed or misdirected.

Example: Advertisement

 Set Clear Goals:


It means defined specific, measurable and shared objectives and ensuring that everyone
is understanding them. It ensures everyone what the organization is trying to achieve.

 Tracks Performance:
Regular updates through reports and meetings help to monitor ongoing work. It is a key
as it shares updates, highlights achievements, and identify the problems early.

 Encourages Collaboration:
When teams communicate effectively, they work better together leading to faster growth.
Good communication is the foundation of strong collaboration.

4. Building Rapport:
Building rapport is about establishing trust, mutual respect and understandings between
individuals or groups. Regular and meaningful conversation helps in building rapport.

EX: Active listening, Positive body language

5. Feedback:
Feedback is the receiver`s response to the message, helping the sender know if the message
was understood clearly. It can clarify misunderstandings, mistakes, and ensures continuous
improvement of any firm.

EX: Customer`s service, customer card

6. Association:
Association is communication involves creating a connection between entities, people, ideas,
brands, or organizations how they are perceived. When two companies associate with each
other, they publicly link their identities, share values, audience and goals.

EX: Company partnerships
