Easy Vanilla Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 cup (225g) butter (softened)

• 1 cup (200g) white sugar
• 4 eggs
• 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven
Set your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan (round or square).

2. Cream Butter and Sugar

In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

3. Add Eggs
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one.

4. Add Vanilla
Mix in the vanilla extract.

5. Mix Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder.

6. Combine Wet and Dry

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. Start and end with
flour. Mix until smooth.
7. Bake
Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out
clean when poked in the center.

8. Cool and Serve

Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and place on a wire rack. Frost if
desired, or serve plain!
