2-Year B.Ed. Programme (Distance Mode)
Academic Session-2025-2026 (Batch-2025)
On-line applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to B.Ed.
Programme Offered through Centre for Distance & Online Education (erstwhile
Directorate of Distance Education), University of Kashmir for academic session 2025-
2026. The candidates are advised to peruse the Admission Policy and other relevant
statutes pertaining to Distance Mode admissions on CDOE website thoroughly and
check eligibility/other details before submitting their Application Forms.
I) Eligibility:
The candidates possessing Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 Pattern) with at least 50%
marks for (General Category) and 45% marks for (Reserved Category) or in the
Master’s Degree in sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities or Bachelor’s in Engineering
or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any
other qualification equivalent thereto from university of Kashmir or any other
recognized University are eligible for admission to the programme.
Trained In-service teachers serving as full time teachers in the Government or
Government recognized private schools (Elementary/School Education) with
minimum of six months experience*.
OR
Candidates with NCTE recognized Teacher Education Programme (D.El.ED) through
face to face mode.

III) Mode of Selection:
Selection of the candidates shall be based on the academic merit of qualifying
examination of the candidate. However, if the number of the applications
exceeds 1:3 ratio of the intake capacity, entrance test shall be conducted by the
Director, Admissions and Competitive Examinations.
IV) Territorial Jurisdiction:
Kashmir Division including Kashmiri Migrants; however, OSJ category is open to all
candidates residing outside Kashmir Division.

V) Submission of On-Line Application Forms:
The candidates are advised to follow the following steps for filling their On-Line
Application Forms.
Step-1: Visithttp://www.kashmiruniversity.netorwww.kashmiruniversity.ac.inandclickon Link
Admissions. Read Important Instructions for Registration and Submission of Form
carefully before proceeding further.
Step-2: Candidate needs to register him/herself before submitting the Online Application Form. For
Registration with the System Click on the “Register as Student”. Remember the Username
and Password for future reference.
Step-3: After successful Registration, login in to the system for submitting On-line Application Form.
Enter your “Registration No. ”and Click “Next”.
Step-4: Enter the required details and Upload your latest passport size Photograph, Marks
Certificate of qualifying examination and teaching experience/D.Ed or D.E l.Ed
certificate and click “Next”.
Step-5:If there is any variation click on “Previous” button, make necessary corrections and then
Click “Submit”. Get a printout of the Form and note the Form No. for future reference.
Step-6: Deposit the non-refundable of Rs. 900/- through Online mode only.
VI) Submission of downloaded Application Forms (Hardcopy):
The candidates after submitting their On-Line Application Forms need not
submit hard copy at university rather must keep Hard Copy of the Application
Form with them for reference. Fee Deposition and fee reconciliation shall be
treated as Form submission.
VII) Additional information:
The candidates must check the fee status of their Application Forms after three
days from the submission of on-line Application Forms. In case, fee
reconciliation is pending, the candidate should contact the Directorate
of IT&SS University of Kashmir.
Number of seats for B.Ed programmes at the Centre for Distance and
Online Education, University of Kashmir is 500 for session 2025-26.
Latest reservation policy adopted by the University shall be implemented for the
current batch. However, the Supernumerary quota shall be admitted over and
above as per the University norms.
The duration of the programme is of 02 academic years and admission fee shall
be 17,307/- per year.
