Dear Mayor,
The undersigned is a bona fide first-year student at Mindanao State University – Iligan
Institute of Technology taking up the course Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. With the
academic year coming to a conclusion and summer break approaching, I aimed to put my
summer vacation to a good use. And it is with this in mind that I would like to apply for the
municipality's summer employment this year. This will be my first official summer job
application, as student my course requires a lot of computer related works that I can say, I’m
quite proficient at computer stuff. I can also organized paperworks and I’m a fast learner, I
listen intently to what I’m instructed to do. I’m also physically healthy, therefore I can also be
useful in other works. As an applicant, I am willing to compromise and adapt to the demands
of work loads that might be assigned for me.
In terms of my academic background, I'm currently a Chancellor's Lister at my university
(MSU-IIT) with a 1.32 GPA for the first semester, and I also had an excellent track record
during my High school years, allowing me to have knowledge that is capable enough to land
on a prestigious university. With these credentials I can humbly assure that I can cope up and
manage to get the job done.
Aside from gaining experience and learning; I also want to provide for my family, given how
financially demanding college is, especially with this online setup, I want to atleast earn
something to support my educational needs and lessen the burden of my parents. With this
intention, what ever the demands of this assignment may be, I can tell you that I will
concisely complete the task as told.
This letter is intended to state my reasons for applying and qualifications for the job, and I am
hopeful that this will be sufficient. I'm ready and willing to learn from this experience. Thank

Good day, I’m delightned to express my desire for this application. I’m Alex John B.
Ortega, currently a graduating Senior High student at Unidad National High School,
taking up the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Strand.
With this year’s another summer job opportunity for students, I would like to apply
for any position that is suited or assigned for me, given my skills and credentials.
In terms of academic background, I am a consistent achiever yearning an average
grade of 94% . I am also skilled in computer related tasks and other office works. I’m
hardworking, focused, and attentive to what I’m instructed with. Also, I’m physically
healthy and fit to do other work loads that requires physical interaction and strength.
With these said, I can humbly say that I am capable and deserving to attain this job. I
can assure you that I will do my job whole-heartedly and with passion.
Aside from taking experience, my reason for this application is also to prepare for my
incoming college expenses. I know that with this opportunity I can earn to financially
support my soon to be college expenses. This would lessen the problem my parents
would think about, that is why I’m eager to qualify in this job.
