Description of function
Lincoln central lubrication sys- The central lubrication system is a separate unit made by Lincoln. It requires
tem / Power supply only a power supply (black connector on the central lubrication system). The
lubrication and interval times can be set directly on the central lubrication
system.
Turning the blue control wheel on the PCB adjusts the interval time between
the individual lubrication cycles. Turning the red control wheel sets the dura-
tion of a lubrication cycle.
Central lubrication systems Central lubrication systems of older designs were not electronically moni-
monitoring tored, depending on the version. In case of excess pressure in the lubrication
system, grease escapes from the pressure relief valves of these systems.
This serves as an indicator that the lubrication system must be checked.
Central lubrication systems of recent design are monitored by pressure
switches and empty indicators, depending on the version. The system is shut
down in case excess pressure ( > 350 bar) is built up. Excess pressure is also
indicated by the LEDs in the pressure switches. When two lubrication circuits
are provided, the faulty circuit can thus be identified.
An empty message is displayed on the control terminal.

Fault display in the control The warning lights in the control terminals light up along with the diagnosis
terminal LEDs on the PCB.In this process, the following conditions are monitored:
• System OK
• Central lubrication system active (lubrication time)
• Central lubrication system inactive (interval time)
• Container empty / Pressure switch fault
Particularities of PCB Regardless of the number of pressure switches used and the version of the
central lubrication system, the same electronics PCB is used in all cases (part
no. 078 366.1). The system is designed for a maximum of 2 electronic pres-
sure switches. Unused pressure switches must be substituted by cable links.
In central lubrication systems without an electronic pressure switch (Z122),
two cable links are inserted (see drawing: Variant c).
In central lubrication systems with one electronic pressure switch (Z122), one
cable link is inserted (see drawing: Variant b).
In central lubrication systems with two electronic pressure switches (Z122),
no cable link is inserted (see drawing: Variant a).
Diagnostics (grey connector) The voltage potentials applied to the grey connector of the central lubrication
system are indicated by the following warning lights in the control terminal:
Pin 1 = 12 Volt = Lubrication system inactive (interval time)
Pin 1 = 0 Volt = Lubrication system active (lubrication time)
Pin 3 = 12 Volt = Container empty / Pressure switch fault *
Pin 3 = 0 Volt = System OK
* - in connection with the LEDs in the pressure switches
