The hotel is an old prison. The outside looks like
an old building, but the inside is very modern.
A lot of the hotel still looks like an old prison

cells - three old cells make one big, luxurious

Some religious organisations weren't happy with Galileo's


theories. His ideas were dangerous because they were
different from the ideas in the Bible. Finally, in 1634 there
was a trial. Galileo was 70 and not in good health so he
wasn't sent to prison, but he couldn't leave his house in
Florence. It was here that he died in 1642. He was 78 years
old and completely blind.
