1. Sole Proprietorship

Good Shepherd Convent Products

It is managed by the Good Shepherd Sisters. The production and sales of their famous ube jam and
other delicacies initially setup to support the livelihood programs of the convent. It has been a go-to
stop for tourists since the 1950s.

2. Partnership

Baguio City Tours

Formed in 2010 by two travel enthusiasts. Baguio City Tours offers guided experiences showcasing
Baguio's rich culture, history, and scenic attractions, as well as nearby destinations like La Trinidad and
Benguet. It has become a trusted service for both local and international tourists.

3. Corporation

Jollibee Foods Corporation

From an ice cream parlor opened in 1975 in the Quezon City area by Tony Tan Caktiong. It then
switched to serve fast meals, particularly burgers, spaghetti, and fried chicken, because of customer
demand for hot meals. It quickly became a giant in the fast-food world. Jollibee now has more than
1,500 stores around the world, with expansion via acquisitions of global brands, including Dunkin'
Donuts, Mang Inasal and Burger King Philippines. Its success is a testament to Filipino resilience and
pride, sparking global interest in Filipino flavors.

4. Cooperative

Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP)

The Philippines' largest cooperative supported by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is PBSP,


which was founded in 1981. Its primary goal is to improve the standard of living for underserved
communities nationwide by giving financial support to cooperatives and social entrepreneurs. PBSP
has backed more than 3,000 cooperatives around the country and is dedicated to advancing inclusive
business models.
5. Franchising

Jollibee

Jollibee, founded by Tony Tan Caktiong in 1975, began as an ice cream parlor in Quezon City. It shifted
to selling hot meals due to popular demand, including its signature fried chicken, spaghetti, and
burgers. In 1979, it began offering franchises and rapidly expanded. Today, Jollibee is one of the
Philippines' most successful fast-food chains, with a global presence of over 1,500 stores. It has
become an iconic symbol of Filipino culture and pride.
