The Factory Best Shirts Ltd is not ready for Pre-T&C VI due to multiple unresolved comments on their submitted documents and drawings. Key issues include discrepancies in pump specifications, missing calculations for water demand, and inadequate details on the sprinkler system layout. The factory is requested to address these observations and update their designs and documents accordingly.

Dear Factory Management,

Good day !!
Thanks for the below submission . Based on the review of your submitted documents and
drawings (FADS & SUPS-1st Submission) dated on 09 Nov 2024; The Factory Best Shirts Ltd
(ID - 9282) is not-ready for Pre-T&C VI (Both system) for below observations. Requested to
go through the comments in details and shall update the design/ documents / calculation
accordingly.

SUPS (Sprinkler & Standpipe system): (1st Before Pre-T&C Review comments):
1. Review comments and stamp comments on hard copy of initial
review drawing are not addressed.
2. Incorporate installed pump, driver serial number, nameplate image on
sheet 04. Provide details technical information of pump like, max pressure,
pressure at 150% etc. (Review comments not addressed) Jockey pump
model doesn’t match between marked datasheet and drawing. (Review
comments not addressed)
3. On sheet 02 mention, water demand 965 gpm but no calculation
found supports the data. Provide proper calculation or clarification. If
system demand exceeds rated pump flow capacity, provide supply vs
demand curve , where supply shall meet the demand.
4. Pump room ventilation arrangement, drainage, pressure sensing and
fuel line details are missing.
5. On master plan , it seems feedmain is above GL 10 ft but it is located
a significant distance from building exterior wall. Provide pump
support/hanger details. Feedmain is required to protected from fire and
physical hazard. Also incorporate all pipe dimensions, building to building
distance on master plan. Master plan also required to indicate public road,
premises exit gate etc.
6. Provide additional fire breeching inlet considering per inlet 250 US
GPM. The water demand is more than 750 GPM & 2-way FDC provided.
So, additional inlet to meet system demand. System demand will be
finalize through hydraulic calculation.
7. On several cases, model no marked on datasheet/certificate doesn’t
match with model number mentioned on drawing.
8. Several discrepancy has been observed on sprinkler system , some
are mentioned below and other are marked on attached drawing.
 On sprinkler system hydraulic calculation, outside hose stream
doesn’t considered on nodal flow. Hose stream flow and pressure shall
incorporate on calculation. Incorporate summary of calculation on
nodal drawing.
 Incorporate technical details (like working pressure, size, quantity,
Sprinkler working temperature, response type etc) of all equipment.
(Review comments not addressed)
 On submittal, shield branded sprinkler documents and certificate
has been provided. But no sprinkler model is mentioned on drawing
regarding shield brand. Secondly, model are not highlighted on
provided certificate and datasheet. Provide separate datasheet &
certificate for each model of equipment and follow serial as per “T&C
information sheet”. However, quick response sprinkler is not accepted
on EH area. Installer shall check accordingly. Provide credible
certificate for sprinkler. Now provided Tyco brand sprinkler certificate
are applicable for Canada only.
 Provide a clear layout, omit the pump arrangement while shows
sprinkler layout on pump room.
 Ground floor layout is different than review drawing. Mention the
reason of changes and compass direction is completely different than
review drawing. Confirm the site conditions. On riser diagram , 3 nos
landing valve shown but on floor layout, it was found 2 nos. Check the
discrepancy and update. If additional landing valve uses than 2 nos,
hydraulic calculation shall update accordingly.
 Show aisles on the floor layout design clearly & dimensions
accordingly for standpipe hose coverage. Hose travel distance shall be
based on walking aisles rather than linear distance. As per standard
class I maximum coverage distance is 150 ft and for class II maximum
coverage distance is 130 ft.
 Regarding 1st floor above and below false ceiling sprinkler, show
riser nipple location where same pipe supports both above & below
ceiling sprinkler. Provide connection details on section. Moreover,
sheet 11 & 12, both are mentioned “below false ceiling” layout, which
doesn’t match with floor sectional drawing.
 On sheet-12, pipe schedule doesn’t maintain. Provide a separate
calculation for branch line where sprinkler exceeds 10 nos to validate
the adequacy of pipe size.
 Mention zone wise sprinkler quantity and branch wise sprinkler
quantity.
 Required dimension is missing throughout the drawing. Dimension
shall provide sprinkler to sprinkler, branch to branch, sprinkler to wall &
sprinkler to obstruction.
 8th floor below false ceiling floor layout is missing. In case of
storage, provide storage arrangement. If there has rack storage,
sprinkler installation shall meet NFPA 13. The design should consider
all variables when deciding the layout of the sprinklers (i.e. type of
racks, aisle widths, commodity classification, storage heights, etc.).
 Incorporate all side elevation. As the ring pipe is over ground. Show
pipe and exterior opening distance
