Tour Program December 2024
Day 1 : Marrakech “Welcome to Morocco”
At the airport our driver will be waiting for you for a warm welcome and will transfer you in
a comfortable car with air conditioning, to your hotel or Riad to take some rest. In the
evening you will take with your guide an orientation tour that will be ended at Djemaa El Fna
where you will be amazed by the dancers, snake-charmers and narrators. Dinner and
overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 : Marrakech / Ait Ben Haddou
After breakfast our journey will start. We will immediately
drive into the mountains over a winding mountain pass which
is the highest in North Africa.
Depending on the weather conditions, we will reach the
fairytale Ait Ben Haddou later in the day. Here you will have
the opportunity to visit the Ksar which is included on the
UNESCO World Heritage List. Also, it has played a prominent
role in famous movies and TV series like The Gladiator and
Game of Thrones. We will stay in a pleasantly atmospheric
hotel where we have also dinner.
Day 3 : Ouarzazate / Tinghir
After breakfast we continue our journey to the green oasis of the
Todra Valley. We pass characteristic villages such as Boulmalne
Dades and Kalaat M'Gouna, known as valley of roses. The city
Ouarzazate is called the Hollywood of Morocco. We can optionally
visit the Atlas Movie studios or the Kasbah of Taourirt.
We will visit the city of Tinghir to see the souk and traditional Jewish
area. We spend the night in a hotel on a unique location where we
have dinner with a view at the beautiful oasis.
Day 4 : Tinghir / Merzouga
You will wake up with the sounds of the birds and the water of the river. Enjoy your
breakfast while you take your eye at the amazing view of the oasis. Our guide will invite you
for a walk through this oasis where you will be surprised by the many flora and fauna and
the friendly villagers who are busy with agricultural activities on their own piece of land.
In the afternoon we prepare for our trip to the Sahara desert.
When we arrive at the hotel in Merzouga on the edge of the Erg
Chebbi Desert, we gather our belongings for the overnight stay in a
tent in the desert. On the back of a camel we are transported to
camp, like a traditional caravan we travel through the sands of the
Sahara. Here we will enjoy a sunset that you will not never forget. In
the camp a delicious meal will be prepared for us and often we are
surprised in the evening with campfire and traditional music. After a
last look at the beautiful starry sky you can sleep in a comfortable
tent with bed.
Day 5: Todra Gorge / Imilchil
We will leave our tent this morning in time so we will not miss the
magnificent sunrise. After this beautiful spectacle, the camels take us back
to the hotel where a delicious breakfast is ready and where we can take a
shower.
Today we will cross the mountains again to visit the authentic village
Imilchil, high in the mountains. We will passing the Todra gorge. The
narrow gorge through the meter-high mountain gives a spectacular view
and this place cools the locals in the summer.
If the weather conditions are good and the road is safe to drive, we will
pass many traditional villages that some period during the winter are
closed off from the outside world because of the snow.
Day 6 : Fez
After breakfast and smelling the healthy mountain air we
will prepare for a long trip by car. From the high
mountains, this day give you time to enjoy the changing
landscapes because we will make today a lot of kilometres
to the north to arrive Fez at the end of the day. Fez is the
oldest royal city Fez and called the green city because of
the many green roofs.
Day 7: Fez - Chefchouen
After a relaxed breakfast we will make a tour through the
city. We will see the famous tanners, or we can visit the
beautiful Madrassa of Bou Inania or the Nodouk Jejjarine.
From different vantage points we can have beautiful views
of this amazing city. In the afternoon we will continue our
trip more north where we will arrive in a few hours in the
city Chefchouen. You will be surprised to see in the Rif
mountains all the blue houses of this city. We will spend
our night here and explore the blue pearl of Morocco.
Day 8 : Chefchouen / Middle Atlas
Today we are going the explore the blue pearl of Morocco, don’t
forget your camera because every corner you will see a beautiful
spot to photograph. After taking all the photo’s we will continue
our trip back in south direction. We make a nice drive through the
Middle Atlas. We pass the special village of Ifrane and enjoy the
immersion in the beautiful landscapes that pass us towards the
south. Perhaps we will even spot the wild monkeys in the cedar
forests of the Middle Atlas. This night we will stay in a nice location
in Azrou, the crossroads of the Middle and High Atlas.
Day 9 : Azrou / Cascade D’Ouzoud
After breakfast, our journey continues to another hidden treasure. On the way, we will pass
the places Khenifra, Beni Mellal and we have a beautiful view on the lake of Bin El Ouidane.
Suddenly, between the hills, the gorge where the waterfall plunges
down at least 110 meters appears. Enjoy this spectacular view from a
terrace or take a boat ride to see the waterfall up close.
A beautiful walk takes you through the green landscape to the top of
the waterfall. Perhaps the Berber monkeys will show themselves here
again. Tonight you sleep with the sound of the waterfall in the
background.
Day 11 : Marrakech
After breakfast you can take one last walk at this spectacular waterfall before we go back to
the hustle and bustle of the city. In a short trip we will reach the city of Marrakech. Today
there is enough time to do the last exploring in this city. You can make a guided tour, visit
some museum and take enough time to make the last shopping in the traditional souk.
Day 12 : Depart
Today this adventure comes to an end. The guide will pick you up from the hotel and take
you to the airport. We wish you a safe journey back home.
