stunning Martian landscape, along with a journal to document our experiences. Additionally, I’ll
take some comfortable clothing suitable for the Martian environment and a few snacks from
Earth, as I want to enjoy some familiar flavors while there.
I feel incredibly excited about this trip! The thought of walking on Mars and witnessing its unique

lot of time together, whether playing video games, watching movies, or just talking about our day.
He’s also someone I can confide in, and he often provides support and encouragement when I face

best friend and confidant within the family.

7. Describe your favorite soap opera on TV

You should say:

My favorite soap opera is Hana Yori Dango, a Japanese series from 2005.

complicated love story develops between them. The series explores themes of romance,
friendship, and social class.
I love this show because of its engaging plot and well-developed characters. The chemistry
between Tsukushi and Tsukasa is captivating, and the mix of humor, drama, and romance keeps
me hooked. Additionally, the series highlights the importance of resilience and staying true to
oneself, which resonates with me. Overall, Hana Yori Dango is a perfect blend of emotions and

I recently stayed at the Muwa Niseko hotel in Hokkaido, Japan, and it was a wonderful

The hotel offers a range of facilities, including a luxurious spa, an on-site restaurant serving
delicious local cuisine, and a cozy lounge area with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
There’s also a ski rental shop, which made it easy for me to hit the slopes without any hassle.

ski resorts, making it perfect for skiing and snowboarding. In the summer, you can explore
beautiful hiking trails and enjoy outdoor activities like mountain biking and golf. The area is also
known for its hot springs, so visiting an onsen is a must.

Why it was a bad experience.

I had a holiday at Mường Thanh Hạ Long that turned out to be quite disappointing.
I went there last summer with my family, excited to enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax by the
beach. However, from the moment we arrived, things began to go wrong. The check-in process
was extremely slow, and when we finally got to our room, it wasn’t clean. There were issues with
the air conditioning, and despite multiple requests, it took hours for maintenance to come.

Additionally, the hotel’s amenities were not as advertised. The pool was overcrowded, and the
restaurant service was very slow, leading to long wait times for meals. To make matters worse, the
weather was rainy, which limited our outdoor activities.
Overall, the combination of poor service, cleanliness issues, and bad weather made it a frustrating
experience. It was disappointing because we had high hopes for a fun and relaxing holiday, but
instead, it turned into a series of challenges.

11.Describe your house

You should say:
- What type of housing it is;
- What facilities it has;

I live in a quite spacious house located on Lý Thường Kiệt Street in Hoàn Kiếm.
It’s a two-story building with a modern design. The ground floor features a large living room, a
well-equipped kitchen, and a dining area that is perfect for family meals. There’s also a small
garden in front, which adds a nice touch of greenery. On the second floor, there are several
bedrooms, including a master suite with an en-suite bathroom. The house has ample natural light,
thanks to large windows throughout.
In terms of facilities, the house is equipped with modern appliances, air conditioning, and high-
speed internet. There’s also a garage for parking, which is convenient in the busy city.
I really like my house. It offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, and the spacious layout
allows for family gatherings and activities. The location is also great, as it’s close to shops,
restaurants, and parks. Overall, it feels like a perfect home for me!

You should say:

How you felt about it.

Last month, I had a wonderful meal with friends at a Japanese restaurant in Long Biên, and it was
a great experience.
The host was my close friend, who suggested this place because he had been there before and
loved the food. For starters, we ordered some delicious edamame and gyoza, which set the
perfect tone for the meal. For the main course, I enjoyed a steaming bowl of ramen, topped with
tender slices of pork, soft-boiled egg, and fresh vegetables. Everyone else had different variations
of ramen, and we shared some sushi rolls as well.
To finish off our meal, we indulged in mochi ice cream for dessert, which was a delightful treat.
The combination of flavors and textures made each dish enjoyable.

I felt really happy during this meal. It was great to catch up with friends, share stories, and enjoy
such delicious food together. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, which
added to the overall experience. It was a memorable evening filled with laughter and good
company!

13. Describe a city that you know well

You should say
- What city it is;
- What it is like;
- And whether you like it.

I know Kyoto quite well, and it's one of my favorite cities in Japan.
Kyoto is known for its rich history and stunning traditional architecture. The city is filled with
beautiful temples, shrines, and gardens, making it a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking through
the streets, you can see well-preserved wooden houses and charming shops that reflect the city's
cultural heritage. The cherry blossoms in spring and the vibrant maple leaves in autumn make it
especially picturesque.
Kyoto has a serene atmosphere, with many peaceful spots to explore, such as the Arashiyama
Bamboo Grove and the tranquil Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion). The city also offers a variety of
cultural experiences, including tea ceremonies, traditional crafts, and kimono rentals.
I absolutely love Kyoto. The blend of history, nature, and culture creates a unique charm that draws
me in every time I visit. It's a place where you can truly feel the essence of Japan, making it a special
destination for both relaxation and exploration.

14. Talk about a problem that you face everyday?

You should say:
- What it is about;
- What troubles it causes you;
- And what you do to overcome it.
One problem I face every day is experiencing art block as an artist, even though it's just a hobby
for me.

Art block refers to the inability to create or feel inspired, which can be very frustrating. As someone
who has been drawing since childhood, I often feel pressure to produce artwork, but sometimes my
creativity just doesn’t flow. This can lead to feelings of self-doubt and disappointment, as I want to
express myself but struggle to find the motivation or ideas.
To overcome this challenge, I try several strategies. First, I take breaks to clear my mind and avoid
forcing myself to create. I also seek inspiration from other artists by browsing online platforms or
visiting art galleries. Sometimes, I switch mediums or try new styles to reignite my passion.
Engaging in art-related activities, like attending workshops or joining art communities, also helps
me regain my momentum.
Overall, while art block can be challenging, I’ve learned to be patient with myself and find
alternative ways to stay connected to my creativity.

15. Describe an annoying neighbour

You should say:
- Who she/he is;
- Why you think she/he is annoying;
And what you do to reduce her/his annoyance.

I have a rather annoying neighbor who lives next door.

She is a middle-aged woman who loves to sing karaoke, often at loud volumes, especially during
the evenings and weekends. It seems like she doesn’t care about the noise level, and it can be quite
disruptive, especially when I’m trying to relax or focus on work. Additionally, she has a habit of
throwing garbage in the common areas instead of using the designated bins, which creates a mess
and attracts pests.
I find her behavior quite inconsiderate, as it affects the overall atmosphere of our community. To
reduce the annoyance, I’ve tried a few approaches. First, I use noise-canceling headphones when I
know she’s likely to start karaoke sessions. I also keep the windows closed during those times.

When it comes to the littering, I’ve spoken to other neighbors about it, and we’ve collectively
approached her to kindly ask her to be more mindful. While the situation hasn’t completely
improved, I find that addressing it as a community helps lessen the frustration.
