ADJUSTABLE PALLET RACKING SYSTEM

AdjustablePallet Racking is also known as Selectivepallet racking, this is the most


popular and economical form of pallet racking system. It provides 100% selectivity of
pallets. This is the Ideal storage system where variety is more.

Seismic Design

IS 1893:2002 Criteria for Earthquake resistant design of structures


Raw Material

Load bearing members of the system are made out of high strength HR steel having
properties equivalent to grades specified by IS 2062:2006

The different types of material used for load bearing members such as uprights and beams are

Fasteners

All fasteners used are of grade 8.8.These are with galvanized finish to suit industrial
atmosphere.

Surface Finish

For long life and protection from corrosion, All Powder coated components are given a
thorough anti-rust treatment.The dry film thickness (DFT) after powder coating would be
average 40-50 microns.

All Powder coated components are given a thorough anti-rust treatment, anti corrosion
treatment, viz. De-greasing, rinsing, phosphating and De-mineralized water rinsing (7 Stage
Processing))

Furthermore, the testing of paint for various physical and chemical properties is done as
per IS 101: 1964.
Component Specification

UPRIGHT
Upright (also called columns) vary in size and design depending on load
requirements. The uprights are multi bend profiles, designed to offer maximum
load bearing capacity. Uprights are bolted with base plate. In Uprights Holes/slots
are punched during manufacturing up and down the column at standard intervals
so that the load beams can be mounted into the upright columns.

FOOTPLATES
It is also known as footpads or base plates, are at the base of upright and
serve as anchors to give the rack more stability: anchor bolts are inserted through
the base plate's holes to attach the column to the concrete floor. Footplates
increase the pallet rack’s overall stability and weight-bearing capacity.

BRACES
Diagonal braces and horizontal braces, commonly referred to as upright
frame lacing is usually bolted between two upright to form selective upright
frames.

BEAMS
Beams are of box type construction. Better strength for beams, since it is box
profile, unlike open profiles which tend to buckle for heavy loads or for longer
beam lengths. Beam top is 50mm width to provide larger surface area for resting
decking surface.
Beam locks by locking pins ensure that beams are engaged with uprights
precisely and prevent any accidental beam dislodgement due to handling
equipment’s.

UPRIGHT GUARD
Upright guards are grouted in front of all aisle facing uprights. This is to
avoid any accidental direct hit on bottom of racks by Forklifts or Stackers while
handling pallets.

ROW GUARD
Row guards are grouted at the end of each row of racks to avoid any

PALLET STOPPER
Pallet back stoppers are provided at the rear side of the racks to limit the
