PROJECT PROPOSAL
I. Project Title: ASEAN 2025: A Celebration of Culture and Community
II. Proponent: Arjane M. Rieza, Teacher III/Araling Panlipunan School Coordinator
III. Rationale/Background:
In compliance with DepEd Division Memorandum No. 173, s. 2025, and Regional Memorandum No.
00838, s. 2025, on the ASEAN Month Celebration, this project proposal outlines a month-long series
of activities to be conducted throughout August 2025. The celebration aims to foster a deeper
understanding and appreciation of ASEAN among students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel.
By engaging in meaningful and simple activities, the school seeks to promote the goals of unity,
cooperation, and cultural diversity that define the ASEAN community, while integrating these themes
into the educational curriculum.
IV. Project Objectives:
This project aims to achieve the following objectives:
1. Raise Awareness: Promote awareness of ASEAN and its member states among the entire
school community.
2. Foster Appreciation: Cultivate appreciation for the diverse cultures, histories, and
contributions of the ASEAN region.
3. Integrate Content: Successfully integrate ASEAN-related content into classroom instruction,
particularly in Araling Panlipunan and other relevant subjects.
4. Promote Engagement: Encourage active participation from all personnel in the suggested
activities, such as wearing ASEAN-inspired attire and displaying flags.
5. Ensure Documentation: Properly document all activities for submission to the Schools
Division Office as required by the memorandum.
V. Target Participants:
All students from Kinder-Grade 6
All teaching and non-teaching personnel of Pinagbirayan Elementary School
VI. Proposed Activities and Timeline:
The following activities are aligned with Division Memorandum No. 173, s. 2025, and will be
conducted weekly throughout August.
Activity Timeline Description
Week 1: Flags and August 4-8 1. Wearing ASEAN-inspired attire: All personnel will

VII. Budgetary Requirements:
Expenses for the ASEAN Month celebration shall be charged to local funds/MOOE, subject to the
usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. A tentative budget is as follows:

VIII. Monitoring and Evaluation:
All activities will be documented through photographs, attendance sheets, and a narrative report.
These documents, along with the Facebook page updates, will be compiled and submitted to the
Schools Division Office c/o EPS Dr. Wilma Joy M. Del Monte at the end of the month.
IX. Expected Outcomes:
It is expected that through this project, students will gain a better understanding of ASEAN,
fostering a sense of regional identity and cooperation. The school community will be more
engaged and appreciative of the cultural diversity within Southeast Asia.
