Revelation 4:8

This passage from Revelation is often used to support the Trinity, but it can be simply explained. The verse refers to God's eternal nature as the God of the past, present and future when it says "Holy, holy, holy". The context makes clear there is only one being on the throne, and other passages identify this as God the Father. Rather than proving the Trinity, the verse affirms there is one God, the Father, sitting on the throne.
