REFLECTION

My on-the-job training as a Criminology student has been an eye-opening and transformative

experience. It provided me with an opportunity to bridge the gap between classroom theories and
practical applications in the real world. The responsibilities I undertook, such as observing law
enforcement operations, assisting in administrative tasks, and participating in field activities, helped
me better understand the complexities of the criminal justice system.

One of the most valuable lessons I gained was the importance of discipline, integrity, and
professionalism. Wearing the uniform with pride and following strict protocols reinforced the need
to uphold the ethical standards required in this field. Moreover, interacting with experienced
professionals taught me the significance of empathy and effective communication when dealing with
diverse individuals and situations.

This training strengthened my confidence and prepared me for the challenges I will face as a future
criminologist. It deepened my passion for serving the community, promoting justice, and
contributing to peace and order. I am immensely grateful to my mentors and colleagues who guided
and inspired me throughout this journey. Moving forward, I am eager to apply what I have learned to
make a positive impact in the field of criminology.

REFLECTION 2ND SEM

Throughout the internship, I was able to observe and

participate in various day-to-day operations, gaining
practical insights that classroom learning alone could
not provide. I learned how to manage my time, work
as part of a team, and adapt to new challenges and
responsibilities. The guidance and mentorship I
received from supervisors and colleagues played a
crucial role in helping me grow.

One of the most important lessons I learned during

this journey was the value of professionalism and
communication. I came to understand how clear,
respectful, and timely communication can improve
efficiency and build strong working relationships. I
also had the chance to strengthen my technical and
soft skills, both of which are essential for future career
success.

My junior internship gave me a deeper understanding

of my chosen field and helped clarify my career goals.
It reinforced my commitment to continuous learning
and growth, and I am grateful for the opportunity to
contribute, learn, and improve.
