an attorney to join our national business immigration practice in the firm’s Rochester or
Buffalo or Albany office. Broad experience in employment-based cases including labor
certifications, EB-1 petitions, nonimmigrant visas petitions and J-1 waiver applications
preferred. Candidates with five to ten years of experience will be considered. Excellent
writing, client service and case management ability required. Enthusiasm for client service
and initiative are essential.

As of this posting, the estimated annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 –
$180,000. Actual base salary will be based upon criteria such as experience, qualifications,

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced candidate to join our law firm as an immigration
paralegal. The successful candidate will be a part of a national immigration practice, which
supports corporate client business groups. This position directly reports to the partners in the
Immigration Practice Group.

Job Responsibilities:
Draft visa petitions and other documents for submission to the U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of State
Interact with clients from diverse organizations, professions, and cultural backgrounds
Investigate facts, collect and review source documents and materials
Function as a liaison between clients and attorneys
Manage client cases to ensure appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner

Education and Experience Requirements:


Prior immigration paralegal experience strongly preferred; prior paralegal experience and
work involving significant writing will also be considered; writing samples will be requested of
interviewed candidates
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education sufficient to
indicate ability to be successful in the position
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail and skill in proofreading complex documents
Excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively plan work assignments to meet client
needs
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Ability to work independently, yet be an active contributor in a focused work team

Recruiting Information:
Competitive compensation dependent upon education and relevance of prior work
experience
FLSA Classification: Salaried Non-exempt
Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000
