via control system in service mode.
NOTE: VALVE Y3035 CONNECTOR MUST BE DISCONNECT BEFORE TESTING. K0344:
The coil is controlled by:
- Eclipse control panel, pin 5 (system fault +24V output)
In case of fire, fire suppression system can be Contacts 30 and 87 are connected when the coil is active

1 INTRODUCTION
AI (Analog input):
Analog inputs are used to read values from all kinds of sensors, for instance
hydraulic oil temperature sensor is connected to AI pin (XM2.12).
DO (Digital output):
DO pins have 2 logical states, 0 (off) and 1 (on). Module digital outputs are used to
control machine devices. When the operator has pressed the horn button module
DO horn XM1.15 changes state from 0 to 1. This generates sound signal from the
horn device.
RRC mode: There is no driver in the machine cabin. The machine is controlled
remotely by radio remote controller (RRC).
2 GENERAL CONDITIONS
2.1 Enable
Enable is active when
• Enable is inactive

• One of the machine’s emergency buttons are pressed
• Enable is inactive
or
• Safety message from automine system is not ok

• The connection to automine system is not ok

The following sequence chart illustrates the ride control sequence. The chart
contains explanations what happens on each step. Under each step there are
conditions that have to be fulfilled in order to proceed to next step.

STEP 0:
Initial conditions and initialization:
- Is ride control option parameter PAR_Option_RideControlInMachine (0 as
default) activated.
- Are the following conditions true: Enable, Emergency stop circuit, engine
running.
- Is ride control activated from the button.
STEP 1:
Boom and pump control:
- Lifting the boom with full power.
STEP 2:
Boom pressure weighing:
- Take 100 samples from the boom pressure (1s).
STEP 3:

STEP 4:
Pressure accumulator 2 function:
- If the STEP 2 measured pressure is equal to or greater than
PAR_BoomPressureBucketFullLimit (100bars as default), open an
accumulator 2 and the tank valve.
- After the valve is opened wait for 500ms.
STEP 5:
Controlling the boom and the pump:
- Lift the boom once again if it is lowered back to its limit switch when the
accumulators were opened. Lower limit switch sensor is filtered for 100ms.
STEP 6:
Ride control active and the function monitoring:
- The boom control stays unchangeable. The bucket joystick status is
monitored. If the bucket is being controlled, the accumulator and tank valve
is closed for the bucket controlling time. The accumulator and tank valve
are opened again once the bucket control is finished.
- If the boom joystick is turned either way the sequence jumps to STEP 0.
- If the ride control activation button is pressed, or if the parking brake is
activated, the sequence jumps to STEP 7.
STEP 7:
Stopping the ride control:
- Reset the function and all the necessary outputs.
o Rotation speed difference between the engine and the converter is not
too high (400). Defined with parameter PAR_MaxRpmDifference.
Exceptions for the speed difference are the following
550: LH517 volvo
600: LH512 Detroit, LH514 detroit
685: LH514 Volvo
700: LH410 Volvo, LH621 Volvo
800: LH517 Detroit
OR
o Engine RPM is below the converter RPM
o Rotation speed difference between the engine and the converter is not
too high (400). Defined with parameter
PAR_MaxRpmDifference_ConverterSpeedGreaterThanEngineSpeed.
o Converter RPM is below warning limit which is 2600. Exceptions for
the warning limit are following.
2200: LH621 Volvo Tier 4 Final
2300: Volvo engines in LH514, LH517 and LH621 Tier 4i 13 L,
Tier 2 13L
2400: All Detroit engines
2500: All Mercedes and Volvo LH307 and LH410
OR
o Engine braking is active
• Converter RPM should be above the lock on RPM which is 1500. Defined
with parameter PAR_LockOnConverterRPM. Exceptions are
1150: LH410 Volvo, LH514 Volvo, LH517 Volvo, LH621 Volvo
1250: LH512 Detroit, LH514 Detroit, LH517 Detroit, LH621
Detroit
• Gear is not changing
• Any of the following conditions is true
o Engine RPM and converter speed difference is small enough (as
described earlier)
OR
o Engine RPM greater than converter RPM
OR
o Engine braking is active
• Converter RPM is below warning limit
• Boom is in down position (or the condition disabled with
PAR_BoomUpPreventConvLock = 0) OR ride control is active
Converter lock control will be switched off if any of the following conditions is
fulfilled. These conditions will also prevent switching the lock on.
• Converter lock request not active AND engine braking is not active
• Gear change
• Brake pedal is pressed AND PAR_BrakePressureReleasesLock = 1
• De-clutch is activated
• Bucket is not in hauling position (or this condition is disabled with
parameters)
