The incumbent is employed as a
metalworker under Facility section to
carry out skilled maintenance and
repair work throughout the New
Embassy Compound (NEC)
functional/office buildings, on-
compound ancillary support and
residential buildings, recreational
facilities, and other owned/leased
properties. The basic function of a
metalworker is operating manual or
automated machineries and hand tools
used to form, cut, join metal, finish, and
assemble metal components. Jobholder
Major Duties:
would repair, adjust, and manufacture
metallic doors, compound gates,
windows, handrails, guardrails, grills,
gutter, generator shed, and
maintenance of door handles and
perform inspections. Also, assists, as
needed other shops such as painting,
plumbing, carpentry, and general
cleanup of work areas. Other tasks of a
