Subject: Admission cum Examination for Classes 10h and 12h through JKSOS for the session
2024-25 (UTs of J& Kand Ladakh).
The Jammu &Kashmir State Open School, a subsidiary ofJ &K Board of School Education,
announces the direct Admission cum Bxamination in class 10h and 12 for the sesion 2024-25,
through 38 (Thirty Eight) Govt. High/ Hr. Sec, Schools designated as Accredited Study Centres
established at each district of UT of J & K and UT of Ladakh.
The admission for class 10 and 12h is open to all especially for those who have missed formal
education, school dropouts, failures from the formal system, unemployed, specially-abled
children and persons in employment to enhance their chances of promotion.
Theeligibility for the direct 10h class admission is:
1 Students should have passed class 8th Examination and a gap of minimum 2 years at the time
of dmission tÍ class 10,
2. Age 14 and above as on 30.1 1.2024. However there will be no upper age limit.
The eligibility for the direct 12" class admission is:
1 Students should have passed class X Examination from any recognized Board and a gap of
minimum 2years at the time of admission to class 12".
2. Age 16 and above as on 30.11.2024.However there will be no upper age limit.
The medium of Instruction will be English only. The study material in the form of textbooks
shall be made available through respective study centres to the students after receiving the admission
forms and 30 days contact classes shall be held through offline/online mode.
The candidates desirous of applying for Secondary School Examination (Class 10") and HSP
II (Çlass 12 )through JKSOS can submit Admission Forms at the Accredited Study Centres along
with payment of Rs. 3500/- (Thirty-Five Hundred only) for Class 10 and Rs. 4000/- (Four Thousand
only) for Class 12h in the form of Pay-in-Slips/Receipt (Both Online and Offline) in JK Bank
Account No. 1242040500000003, Branch: JK BOSE, Rehari Colony, Jammu , IFSC Code:
JAKAOELUXUR (for Jammu Division & Leh District) and JK Bank Account No.
0365040500000069, Branch : JK BOSE, Bemina, Srinagar, IFSC Code: JAKAOEXAMBR (for
Kashmir Division & Kargil District)in favour of Chairman JKSOS, payable at Srinagar/Jammu. The
said fee includes (Admission Fee, Registration Fee, Examination Fee, Study material and Conduct of
Contact Classes).
Admission shall be open to one and all from 20-12-2024 on first come first serve basis subiject
tothe availability of the capacity of enrollment and shall be closed on 03-02-2025.
Note: The detailed prospectus alongwith the list of 38 Accredited Study Centres are available at
JKBOSE official website: www.jkb0se. nic.in. Also there is no other official website of J&K State
Open School.
