Word Processing Software

What is this module all about?
Word Processing Software is a computer program used to create, edit, and
format text-based documents. It allows users to insert images, shapes,
SmartArt, tables, and page backgrounds to make documents more
attractive and organized. Common word processing programs include
Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and LibreOffice Writer. These tools help users
produce professional documents for school, work, and personal use. Learning
how to use Word Processing Software improves productivity and enhances
document presentation.

Bullets and Numbering
Bullets and Numbering in Microsoft Word are used to organize your
documents in a clearer and easier-to-follow format.
Here are some guidelines on when to use each:
A. Bullets: These are used when listing items
that do not follow a particular sequence. This
may include lists of items, points, or ideas that
are related but not necessarily arranged in a
specific order.
You can also choose the type of bullet you want to use. This can be found in
the Bullet Library similar to the one shown below.
Steps in Creating a Bulleted List:

Using Bullets:
Open your document in Microsoft Word.
Select the text where you want to create a bulleted list, or place your
cursor where you want to start the bulleted list.
On the Home tab of the Ribbon, find the Paragraph group.
Click the Bullet icon (which looks like a bullet point).
Word will automatically add bullet points to the selected text or start a
new bulleted list where your cursor is placed.
Press Enter after each line to create a new bullet item.
Inserting and formatting illustrations
(Shapes, Images, Smart Art)
1. Inserting Shapes
Using Microsoft Word, you can
add shapes such as boxes,

To add a shape: On the Insert
tab, select the Shapes button icon.

numerical data in your document.
