Macy tiptoed through her room as quiet as a mouse. She
silently got dressed, picked up her sketch pad and slipped
outside her cabin. It is cool, quiet, and dark.
Macy sat down quietly on the bench on the porch.
She thought about going to the forest near her cabin. She
wanted to see the wild animals out in nature and sketch them.
Macy walked slowly in the quiet of the night. She could hear
the wind softly rustling the leaves in the trees.
Up in the sky, the full Moon shone down on her. Macy started
to sketch the Moon.
After a little while, Macy heard a rustling in the bushes. She felt
a little scared.
A beautiful deer stepped out of the shadows and into the light
of the full Moon.
Macy gasped. “You’re so beautiful,” she whispered.
The deer spun its head around and stared at Macy. Then, it
started to eat grass.
Slowly, Macy picked up her pad
and started to sketch the deer.
She drew the deer’s long neck and
legs. She drew the spots on the
deer's tan and white fur. She drew
the deer’s dark eyes and big ears.
After a while, Macy picked up her pad and went back to her
cabin. She looked at her sketch. She felt very special. She had
